We are seeking an experienced Senior AEM Form Developer to join a high-performing digital team on a 12-month contract. This role will focus on maintaining and supporting core business application systems while delivering high-quality, efficient, and scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain enterprise application platforms to ensure they are current, effective, and secure.

  • Develop and deliver system changes that meet quality standards, deadlines, and budget requirements.

  • Design, build, and maintain PDF/HTML forms and custom components within Adobe AEM.

  • Troubleshoot performance issues across application, database, and network layers.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to provide end-to-end support from project inception to deployment.

  • Keep up to date with evolving technologies and contribute to best practices within the team.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience with Adobe AEM Forms (minimum 2 years with AEM 6.x).

  • 5+ years’ experience in Java development, with knowledge of OSGi and Sling frameworks.

  • Strong background in XML Schema development and custom Java components.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server, JavaScript, and JQuery.

  • Strong debugging, testing, and documentation skills.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Positive, proactive approach with the ability to mentor and support others.

  • .NET experience is highly desirable.

The Role
We are seeking a Senior Intranet Officer (APS5 Level) for an initial term of 12 months paying an hourly rate of $55.00 per hour + Super.

With a flexible work policy, this challenging position can be based in Richmond or Geelong. (WFH Flexibility). The APS5 Intranet Officer is an integral member of the Internal Platforms and Channels team. They will be responsible for supporting business areas to maintain and update the Agency’s intranet due to redevelopment. This role will be responsible for supporting and maintaining the intranet during a significant time of change. The APS5 Intranet Officer will have a considerable level of contact with internal stakeholders and will be required to communicate with and provide advice on a range of matters to resolve moderately complex enquiries.

Key accountabilities will include:

  • Developing and publishing intranet content that is in line with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 (conform to at least AA level), relevant style guides and plain English standards.
  • Advising, and supporting business areas on intranet best practice and accessibility, using intranet performance to inform discussions.
  • Supporting intranet publishing requests through a service desk. This includes actioning requests or triaging requests to relevant team members for action.
  • Supporting business areas in the development and uplift of content from the Agency’s old intranet to the new intranet (including a focus on document accessibility).
  • Working with the Strategic Communications division, and other internal key stakeholders, to deliver on business and communication objectives.
  • Supporting and contributing to the intranet redevelopment as required.
  • Supporting team members with administration, technical and procedural tasks.

The position will become a valuable member of the Internal Communications Branch, leading the internal and external communications of corporate publications. The APS6 Senior Intranet Officer is an independent position, accountable for organising workflow and providing specialised advice based on policy and legislation. The APS6 Senior Intranet Officer will have a considerable level of contact with internal stakeholders and will be required to communicate with and provide advice on a range of matters to resolve moderately complex to complex enquiries.

Key accountabilities will include:

  • Working closely with business areas to analyse, identify and create content for the intranet.
  • Ensuring decision-making and intranet content aligns with the Agency’s content strategy, Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 (conform to at least AA level), relevant style guides and plain English standards. This includes identifying gaps in intranet content.
  • Identifying and developing important internal stakeholder relationships, addressing, and resolving any emerging challenges with stakeholders.
  • Reporting on and evaluating intranet performance for key internal audiences and making recommendations for content optimisation based on analysis and research.
  • Supporting business areas in the development and uplift of content from the Agency’s old intranet to the new intranet (including a focus on document accessibility).
  • Working with the Strategic Communications division, and other internal key stakeholders, to deliver on business and communication objectives.
  • Leading and contributing to the intranet redevelopment as required.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Product Owner (EL1 equivalent) to join a federal government digital initiative delivering a public-facing product. This role requires strong leadership in Agile delivery, with responsibility for owning the product vision and backlog, ensuring the delivery of value-aligned features that meet business and user needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own, prioritise, and manage requirements for one or more functional areas of the product.

  • Contribute to shaping the product vision and roadmap, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.

  • Refine and prioritise the backlog of features and user stories, ensuring they meet the ‘Definition of Ready’.

  • Collaborate closely with business subject matter experts, business analysts, and delivery teams to prepare user stories for development.

  • Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

  • Empower and enable delivery teams by making timely decisions, unblocking issues, and clarifying priorities.

  • Negotiate scope and priorities with delivery teams, ensuring consensus on ‘Definition of Done’ for features.

  • Act as the primary liaison between stakeholders and delivery teams, communicating progress, risks, and changes.

  • Complete all mandatory training and comply with entity policies.

  • Work standard business hours (7.5 hours per day) with mandatory breaks; out-of-hours work requires prior approval.

Essential Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Product Owner delivering digital products in an Agile environment.

  • Experience owning public-facing products involving complex data flows is highly desirable.

  • Strong backlog management skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands effectively.

  • Demonstrated ability to work closely with both technical and business teams.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

  • Baseline security clearance OR recent Federal Government experience is mandatory.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience in survey or data capture applications.

  • Familiarity with the aged care or health sectors (preferred but not required).

  • Understanding of accessibility and usability principles for public-facing digital products.

Additional Information

  • The role is based in Sydney CBD or Parramatta with potential hybrid working arrangements.

  • Standard working hours are 7 hours 30 minutes per day with a 30-minute lunch break.

  • Weekend, public holiday, or stand-down period work requires prior written approval.

  • This is a 9-month contract with potential for extension based on project needs.
