Australia’s industry leader in ecommerce and digital consulting is looking for a Shopify Technical Lead who can both build and lead. They provide omnichannel strategies, retail practice, and site optimisation services to help retailers and brand owners increase sales.

About the Role

As Shopify Technical Lead, you’ll guide a team of developers across multiple Shopify projects. You’ll provide hands-on technical leadership, review solution approaches, validate estimates, and ensure high-quality delivery across Shopify and Shopify Plus platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead technical delivery across Shopify projects, balancing hands-on development with team guidance
• Review and provide feedback on developers’ PRs to ensure quality outputs
• Challenge solution overviews, estimates, and implementation plans
• Architect and develop Shopify themes, custom apps, and integrations
• Enhance and Improve deployment pipelines and DevOps processes
• Lead by example: jump on the tools when needed while providing oversight
• Explore and implement AI-driven development workflows (e.g., Cursor, rules, automation)

Skills & Experience

• Strong Shopify development capability: Liquid, Checkout UI & Customer Account extensions, Admin panel extensions
• Solid knowledge of Shopify APIs: Storefront, Admin, etc.; Hydrogen/React optional but valued
• Proven experience leading developers and ensuring high-quality technical outputs
• Hands-on experience reviewing and challenging estimates, architecture, and technical plans
• Experience optimising CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows
• Comfortable leveraging AI tools to improve development efficiency

• Training Users on a Salesforce Platform

The IT Trainer will help deliver training to users on a new Salesforce Platform. This will include reviewing current training materials and resources, creating/updating short training videos and accompanying documentation.

You will be responsible for

• Train users on the new Salesforce Platform
• Create deliver and support learning and development content (e.g. Guides, videos, eLearns and other resources).
• Creating further materials, training and learning opportunities as needed.
• Evaluate learning and development programs, identifying gaps in capability
• Ensure incoming staff have the support they need to succeed in their role

You will have

• Strong experience delivery of training programs
• Experience training on Salesforce
• Extensive experience of delivery of technical workshops in client environments
• Demonstrated experience communicating, consulting, collaborating and negotiating with a diverse range of stakeholders
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Qualification in Training and Assessment
