UI Designer – Contract (May to January – Likely Extension)

We’re partnering with one of our clients to find a UI Designer for an initial contract running from May through to January. This role sits within a collaborative digital team focused on delivering intuitive, user-centred experiences across a range of products and services.

Daily rate: $500 to $660 per day

Please note: baseline AGSVA security clearance is essential for this roleand applicants without AGSVA clearance will not be considered.

Key responsibilities

  • design intuitive, user-centred interfaces across digital platforms
  • turn user needs and business requirements into wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs
  • support user research, usability testing, and validation activities
  • work closely with product managers, business analysts, developers, and service designers
  • contribute to and maintain design systems, style guides, and reusable components
  • ensure designs meet accessibility, usability, and responsive design standards
  • provide clear design specifications and support to development teams
  • iterate and refine designs based on feedback, insights, and data
  • contribute to improving UX/UI practices across the team

Required skills and experience

  • strong portfolio showcasing user-centred design and problem solving
  • proficiency with tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD

Required skills
