About The Role

Location: ACT (Partial remote working arrangements can be acceptable)

Our Manual Tester will actively be involved in the design, develop, and execute manual scripts for a range of applications, including websites and web apps. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in functional, integration, and regression testing, along with hands-on experience with DevOps/TFS for test planning and defect management.

They will be adept at producing high-quality reports, developing test plans for custom applications, and collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, agile environment. Knowledge of cloud-based systems, particularly Microsoft Azure and Office 365, and familiarity with WCAG conformance is essential.

It is a requirement of this position that the successful candidate must be an Australian Citizen and either hold or be eligible to obtain a security clearance at the Baseline level.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Design, develop, and run manual scripts for testing a variety of application products including websites, web apps and services
  • Design, implement, and execute regression and functional tests for target applications
  • Effective collaboration with a cross-functional team working with an agile structure – including a product owner, scrum master, business analysts, UI developers, architect & testers to produce a solution in accordance with user and stakeholder requirements and broader divisional objectives
  • Experience with DevOps/TFS for test planning and defect management.
  • Hands on experience with functional testing, Integration testing and regression testing.

Skills and Experience:

  • Understanding and experience working with cloud-based systems such as Microsoft Azure, Office 365 and Azure DevOps, including TFVC and Git repositories Solid understanding of testing principles and techniques, with well-developed software testing skills and demonstrated experience in application/system tester roles. Expertise in developing test artefacts, including writing, reviewing, and executing complex test plans and cases and developing test strategies
  • A thorough knowledge or understanding in testing digital solutions for Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) conformance. Current accessibility training is highly desirable.
  • Experience developing test plans/cases for custom applications, including the Azure and Microsoft suite of products and services. Experience tracking and managing test plans and test case through Azure DevOps

The Opportunity
Our client is a community focused federal government agency. They have an exciting opportunity for a APS5 level UAT Test Analyst to join the team.

Based in Richmond or Geelong at APS5 level, initial approval for 12 months from initial employment, with the potential to extend, paying an hourly rate of $55.24 + Super.

Requirements:

  • Executing UAT in business systems, portals and mobile applications.
  • Creating test cases, test data and creating manual and automated test scripts.
  • Supporting acceptance criteria testing and system integration testing.
  • Reviewing technical documentation, identifying dependencies and risks related to testing.
  • Managing the overall experience of the UAT testers as vehicle for business readiness.
  • Working closely with the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO), investigating and triaging defects raised by business users.

Key skills:

Your impact and contribution
As the Senior Test Analyst, you are responsible for implementing and executing the test strategy for the Credit Card project and associated initiatives. Your Responsibilities

  • Collaborate, identify, design and develop associated test cases

Your Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in Testing- ideally test automation – and complex integration projects

  • Familiar with Jira, Quality Centre/ALM or equivalent tools
  • Experienced in version controlling using Git/ Stash

  • Experience with performance testing tools, such as FinSim, JMeter
