The Role
Our client is seeking a Test Automation Engineer to work as a part of their platforms, integration and data team. This team is responsible for scoping, designing, delivering and maintaining high quality IT systems and applications to support the agency.
Key responsibilities will include:

  • Conduct functional, system, integration, regression, load and performance testing
  • Design, write, execute effective manual and automated test cases and create test data
  • Discover, reproduce, prioritize, retest, and clearly document software defects
  • Provide training, coaching, mentoring to other teams/team members

Skills and Experience

  • High level of competency in Programming, including hands-on practical knowledge of Javascript, Node.js, Python
  • Ability to demonstrate hands-on experience of version controlling with GIT
  • Playwright, Selenium Webdriver, Cucumber.js test automation frameworks
  • K6 Load Testing tool, Jmeter and API testing

Radio Communications Engineer - Mining

Our client, a leading global mining and resources company has an immediate contract opportunity for an experienced Radio Communications Engineer to join their core team based in Perth. In this role, you will form part of a high-performing team to assist with high-level radio system design, planning, and development for major mine site projects located in the Pilbara.

The primary duties for this role include:

  • Perth Office based (75% on average) and willingness to travel to Pilbara mine sites for execution works.
  • Site based work will range from ad hoc visits to 2:1 FIFO swings during execution works for larger projects (12hr days).
  • Gathering technical information on solutions.
  • Assess solutions against user requirements, industry best practises, and Company standards and principles.
  • Project scoping – preparation of technical Scopes of Work, deliverable requirements, and defining battery limits.
  • Assistance with the development of designs and/or implementation costs and schedule.
  • High-level Design input and development.

To be successful, you must demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • Radio System design – experience within mining-resources industry is a must.
  • TETRA Radio Technology – Ideally with Damm and Sepura Manufacturers.
  • Management of Change and performing Site Surveys.
  • Familiarity with IP Networks (Routing, Switching and Firewalls)
  • Familiarity in Solar DC Power Systems.
  • RF Design of Mobile Radio, Microwave PTP and PMP systems.
  • Experience with ATDI HTZ RF Modelling Software.
  • Experience with Global Mapper.

Working as part of a dynamic ICT environment, the specified personnel is required, but not limited to managing and delivering testing services such as;

  • Creation of test artefacts such as, test plans, test progress, summary and closure reports.

About You

The successful candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 5 years test experience is essential.
  • Display experience with Servers/Switches/WLAN.
  • Displays experience with test data management, data integrity and test coverage analysis.
  • Experience with automation and performance testing.
  • Experience with Security, network, backup recovery and compatibility.
  • ISTQB ® certification is desirable.
  • Knowledge and experience in scripting language is desirable.

Our client is looking for a Senior Test Analyst to join their cutting-edge team to service one of their defense clients. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the effectiveness and reliability of integrated ICT systems and applications that are pivotal to their clients success.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Senior Test Analyst, you will be instrumental in the verification and validation of critical capabilities. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing senior oversight and guidance to a mid-sized test team, including mentoring junior testers and reporting to management.
  • Conducting Verification and Validation (V&V) activities in alignment with Defense Test and Evaluation (T&E) policy.
  • Collaborating closely with the V&V Manager to plan and execute V&V activities throughout various project phases, such as DT&E and AT&E.
  • Developing test cases and detailed procedures to rigorously verify and validate systems supporting critical capabilities.
  • Planning and executing tests for mission applications, spanning Preview T&E, Developmental T&E, and Acceptance T&E.
  • Reviewing test procedures for areas of improvement and implementing process enhancements to optimize testing efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Identifying and mitigating risks and issues related to testing, ensuring successful outcomes.
  • Conducting final testing to ensure systems meet required standards and specifications.
  • Assisting in defect management, including monitoring, assignment, and follow-up.
  • Supporting the V&V Manager in report and coordination tasks as needed.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Senior Tester, with a focus on testing infrastructure core services.
  • Demonstrated experience in testing, integration, and troubleshooting complex Defense projects or similar.
  • Working knowledge of Micro Focus Octane, Application Lifecycle Manager (ALM), or similar test management tools.
  • Familiarity with the Software Development Lifecycle, software development methodologies, ICT governance frameworks, and maintenance and operations environments.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills with the ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience executing test procedures for large systems and system-of-systems with complex integrations.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Experience working within the Defense environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting, testing, and validating mission applications or MOTS applications.
  • Experience with the implementation, assessment, and testing of capabilities within a Software Defined Data Center model.
  • Familiarity with Agile and/or DevSecOps delivery frameworks.
