We are seeking an experienced Data Test Lead to lead the testing strategy and execution for a high-profile, complex enterprise transformation program involving over 50 system integrations. You will oversee a small team of testers responsible for the testing of enterprise data migration, ETL and Integration Testing

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and lead the defined Data Migration & Integration test strategy, ensuring alignment with enterprise objectives and program requirements.
  • Identify, highlight, and report risks and issues during testing, providing recommendations to mitigate impacts on delivery timelines and quality.
  • Lead a team of testers for Integration and data migration testing activities, including SIT, UAT, and production verification testing.
  • Apply test governance practices including , defect triage, quality gates, and compliance with regulatory and audit standards.
  • Collaborating with solution architects and integration leads to ensure traceability and complete test coverage across complex system integrations.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven leadership in Data testing with a successful track record leading end-to-end testing on large-scale transformation programs with lots of integration points
  • Experienced in validating data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) accuracy from legacy systems into SAP.
  • Possess a minimum of 10 years of experience across all test phases and is skilled in system testing, SIT, UAT, data migration, and production verification testing.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement with the ability to collaborate with users and cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment of testing strategies with business objectives.

The Role: The Test Analyst responsible for the planning, coordination, and control of testing activities and collaborates with cross-functional teams to build and deliver valuable test outcomes aligned with project objectives, schedules, and releases.

The Responsibilities:

  • Create detailed test cases, scripts, and scenarios based on business requirements and functional specifications that cover various scenarios including positive, negative, and edge cases.
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts to increase testing efficiency and coverage where applicable.
  • Support the go-live activities including the execution of the deployment plans and checklists.
  • Provide direction, supervision, and support to the users and SMEs who participate in testing activities.
  • Provide input into the planning of the release windows and cycles across the program.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Test Analyst within the banking and finance sector.
  • Broad experience in testing of complex integrated solutions comprising bespoke components with numerous system interfaces, security use-cases and testing system infrastructure.
  • Expertise across several domains of banking industry products, services, and processes, (such as loan origination) including the underlying technology and financial systems.
  • Experience working with process automation, CRM, digital products, system integration, data management and analytics will be highly regarded.
  • Familiarity with software development lifecycle processes.

We are seeking a skilled Senior Tester to join our clients team focused on driving transformational digital projects in Auckland CBD. In this role, you will be instrumental in delivering high-quality solutions across diverse platforms through both manual and automated testing. If you excel in a collaborative environment and have a passion for quality assurance, this is a significant opportunity to contribute to impactful projects.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Contributing to various digital initiatives, including client portals, workflow enhancements, and CRM implementations.
  • Performing extensive manual and automated testing with an emphasis on integration and end-to-end functionality.
  • Conducting testing on APIs, message queues, data transformations, and file integrations.
  • Supporting regression testing and managing automation suites within CI/CD pipelines.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Proven expertise in API and integration testing within Spring Boot, Mule, or Java environments.
  • Proficiency in manual and automated testing using JUnit and Cucumber/BDD frameworks.
  • Experience with REST API testing tools, particularly Postman.
  • Solid understanding of test automation practices in CI/CD pipelines and regression suite management.

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Familiarity with MuleSoft, Data Management Solutions (DMS), or SaaS platforms.
  • Experience within the finance or insurance sectors is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies is advantageous.
