Senior TOSCA Automation Testers
- NV1 clearance is required
- ACT on-site position
- 12 month contract + 2 x 12 month extensions
Position Overview
An exciting opportunity is available for experienced Senior TOSCA Automation Testers to support the development and enhancement of automation testing capabilities across a range of projects, programs, and business-as-usual activities.
This role plays a critical part in improving testing efficiency, quality assurance outcomes, and delivery performance through the design and implementation of robust automation frameworks. Working within a collaborative and secure environment, you will contribute to modern testing practices and continuous integration approaches that support high-quality digital services.
Key Duties
- Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test cases using Tricentis Tosca across web, API, and integration layers
- Create and maintain Tosca modules, test cases, test suites, and reusable components
- Analyse business and technical requirements to identify automation opportunities and coverage gaps
- Execute automated regression and system testing, and analyse results
- Log, track, and manage defects using agreed tools and processes
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Jenkins) where applicable
- Collaborate with manual testers to transition suitable test cases to automation
- Support manual testing activities when required
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues within automated test scripts
- Contribute to test documentation including plans, reports, and artefacts
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve automation coverage and effectiveness
- Explore emerging techniques, including AI-driven testing approaches
- Ensure compliance with organisational quality, governance, and security requirements
Skills and Experience Required
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with Tricentis Tosca (certification highly regarded)
- Strong understanding of test automation principles and model-based test design
- Proven experience in automating web applications and APIs
- Experience working within Agile and/or hybrid delivery environments
- Strong background in system, integration, and regression testing
- Well-developed defect management and analytical skills
- Ability to work effectively in secure or regulated environments
- Experience integrating automation tools with CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins or Azure DevOps (desirable)
- Experience with test data management and environment coordination (desirable)
- Previous experience within government ICT environments and/or ISTQB certification (desirable)
