Senior Test Analyst – Federal Government

Our client is a large values-focused Federal Government Agency seeking multiple Senior Test Analysts to support testing across complex ICT product releases.

This role will suit experienced Test Analysts with strong test case creation, defect management, JIRA/X-Ray, Agile delivery and exposure to automation tools; Selenium, Playwright and Cucumber.

ROLE DETAILS:

Eligibility: Australian Citizens only – MUST be based in Victoria, Australia

Location: Melbourne or Geelong VIC
Contract: 12 months + 12-month extension option
Working arrangement: Hybrid (2/3 split)
Security: Must be able to obtain NV1 clearance (not required on commencement)

ABOUT THE ROLE:

You’ll support planning, preparation and delivery of testing across system testing, system integration testing, regression testing, UAT support and product release activities.

The role involves creating and managing test cases in JIRA, supporting defect management, producing reporting and working closely with technical and business teams to deliver quality outcomes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver testing across system, integration and regression testing phases.
  • Create, maintain and execute test cases using JIRA or similar tools.
  • Support UAT and business verification testing activities where required.
  • Identify, record, manage and track defects through to resolution.
  • Produce test reports, interpret results and provide clear updates on testing progress.
  • Work collaboratively with technical teams, business areas and stakeholders.
  • Translate complex technical information into clear communication for different audiences.
  • Support continuous improvement across testing processes, tools and delivery practices.

SELECTION CRITERIA:

  • Strong experience creating, maintaining and updating test cases from business and technical requirements.
  • Detailed understanding of defect management processes.
  • Experience working across testing lifecycles, including system testing, SIT and regression testing.
  • Exposure to Agile delivery environments.
  • Experience in test automation tools – Selenium and Playwright.
  • Experience in automation frameworks such –
  • Experience using JIRA, X-Ray and ALM for test management.
  • Ability to define and report on test and defect metrics.
  • Exposure to generative AI or spec-driven testing practices.

  • At least 2 years operating in a Senior Test Analyst capacity.
  • Advanced SQL skills, including complex joins, aggregations, data reconciliation, and query optimisation.
  • Strong Python scripting experience for test automation and data validation.
  • Demonstrated experience testing data pipelines, ETL processes, and large datasets.
  • Strong understanding of data testing methodologies, including:
    • Reconciliation Testing

Our client is seeking a hands-on Field Operations Technician/Trigger to support the reliable operation, maintenance and upgrade of telecommunications sites. Working across both fixed and mobile infrastructure, you will complete planned maintenance, respond to faults and maintain the power and site-support systems that keep the network operating.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete preventative and corrective maintenance on telecommunications sites and equipment.
  • Maintain and inspect antennas, feeders, grounding systems, rectifiers, batteries and emergency generators.
  • Order, maintain and refuel diesel generators, record running hours and connect temporary generators when required.
  • Test, diagnose and repair external alarms, lighting, fuses, air-conditioning systems and other site-support equipment.
  • Complete temporary repairs to site infrastructure, including fences and access or climbing obstructions.
  • Deliver planned maintenance within required time windows and quality measures.
  • Support network optimisation and provide field input to Operations and Planning Engineers.
