The Role: The Senior Test Analyst is responsible for planning, executing, and managing quality assurance and testing activities across enterprise corporate applications supporting the Finance, Human Resources, Procurement, and Risk business functions.

The Responsibilities:

  • Develop, review, and maintain test documentation and artefacts, including test plans, test cases, UAT scripts, and test summary reports.
  • Ensure traceability between business requirements and test coverage, supporting auditability and compliance.
  • Create, maintain, and execute test cases and scripts with a focus on functional, user interface (UI) and integration testing of corporate systems.
  • Use JIRA Cloud and Zephyr Scale (or equivalent tools) to manage test case design, execution, and reporting.
  • Identify, log, classify, and manage defects throughout the testing lifecycle.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Demonstrated 6 years’ experience as a senior test analyst roles within corporate IT environments, delivering functional, UI, and integration testing for enterprise business systems.
  • Proven background supporting UAT phases, including preparation of artefacts and direct support for business users.
  • Hands-on experience with test management tools, particularly JIRA Cloud and Zephyr Scale (or equivalent).
  • Enterprise Risk Management experience utilising Protecht, SmartSuite, ServiceNow GRC, Auditboard etc. is essential.
  • Demonstrated expertise working with core business functions and associated applications:
    • Procurement & Legal
    • P&C / HR
    • Risk & Compliance
    • Finance & Procurement

We’re partnering with a leading consultancy to find a Software Engineer in Test who thrives in automation, precision, and solving complex problems with code. This is a hands-on role focused on writing high-quality test scripts and ensuring seamless system reliability across message-based and API-driven environments.

What you’ll be doing

  • Writing automated test scripts from scratch in Java, with a strong focus on maintainability and clarity.

  • Using Cucumber feature files to write automation scripts (no framework building required).

  • Performing manual test execution to validate functional and non-functional requirements.

  • Conducting thorough test preparation including scenario identification, test design, and test case creation.

  • Working primarily across message-based and API testing, with minimal UI exposure.

  • Collaborating closely with developers and QA teams to ensure coverage and quality in every release.

What we’re looking for

  • Proven experience in writing test scripts from scratch using Java.

  • Solid background in test automation with Cucumber feature files.

  • Experience in Kafka for event-driven or message-based testing.

  • Exposure to Playwright for browser automation (nice to have but essential familiarity).

  • Strong understanding of API testing concepts, methods, and tools.

One of our clients is looking to hire a Senior Test Automation Analyst for a permanent on-going role based in Adelaide.

Must Have:

As a Senior Test Automation Analyst, you will primarily lead the development and ongoing improvements to test automation capability across mobile, web, API and desktop applications, and assist/mentor testers in the execution of automated test cases.

Experience Required:

  • Must have minimum 5+ years’ experience in Automation Testing
  • Experience implementing automated test plans and strategies
