APS5 Identity Engineer

Talent International is currently recruiting for an APS5 Identity Engineer to work for one of our Federal Government clients one of its multiple office locations across NSW. The position is a 12-month contract role with the possibility of extension. The role pays $800 to $850 per day + Super (negotiable based on experience).

7.5 hours per day and 37.5 hours per week

Must hold a NV1 clearance.

About the role

The APS5 Identity Engineer will play an important role within the Identity and Access Management (IAM) function. The position is primarily responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining cloud-based IAM solutions for the organisation’s internal workforce.

You will collaborate closely with stakeholders to ensure IAM solutions meet business requirements, security standards, compliance obligations and industry best practices.

Key responsibilities

  • Design, implement and maintain IAM solutions for the internal workforce, focusing on authentication, authorisation and user provisioning/deprovisioning.
  • Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective IAM solutions.
  • Configure and manage IAM capabilities in line with regulatory standards and security best practices.
  • Optimise IAM solutions for scalability, performance and user experience.
  • Leverage industry best practices and emerging technologies to improve IAM capabilities.
  • Develop and implement automation to streamline IAM processes and administrative tasks.

Essential requirements

  • Demonstrated experience designing, implementing and maintaining IAM solutions.
  • Experience with cloud-based IAM platforms such as Okta, Saviynt or Ping Identity.
  • Experience with Single Sign-On (SSO), Conditional Access Policies and App Registration.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently manage competing priorities.
  • Must hold a current NV1 security clearance.
