The Client:

The Role:
The Systems Administrator will be responsible for maintaining the operational effectiveness of our client’s infrastructure systems and Network service. This ranges across the whole of infrastructure including physical and virtual servers, desktop environments, networks, firewalls and peripheral devices.

You will be responsible for

  • Provide Level 1-3 support and service for all Wintel IT systems across the business
  • Network Administration and Troubleshooting
  • Administrating and supporting Windows 2003/2008/2012, VMWare and Active Directory
  • Administration of virtualised IT server and desktop environment
  • Administration of laptops, mobile devices (tablets and smartphones), and peripheral devices

You will have

  • 4+ years as a System Administrator in the Wintel space
  • Strong experience supporting and maintaining Windows Servers, Active Directory, VMWare Horizon View and SCCM
  • Experience in Network Administration and Troubleshooting
  • Experience working with VMware
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

The Role: The Senior Systems Engineer is responsible for the designing, enhancing, and supporting the core Google Workspace services and maintaining DMARC compliance.

The Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to strategic planning and implementation of Google Workspace platform and SMTP services supporting the achievement of business unit and organisation goals.
  • Manage, prioritise, plan and design complex processes such as the successful and secure delivery of email-including maintaining DMARC compliance for the organisation and its third-party email senders; the management of broader Google Workspace suite; oversight of changes within the Google Workspace environment, including managing vendor-initiated updates, maintaining service roadmaps, and identifying opportunities to adopt new capabilities.
  • Provide technical expertise and utilise system management software and tools to collect performance statistics; carry out maintenance tasks/routines; provide expert advice and develop recommendations to guide the platform’s evolution.
  • Lead the assessment, analysis, documentation and implementation of changes, seeking authority for complex requests, developing implementation plans, undertaking evaluation of risk to the integrity of service environment in proposed implementations, reviewing the effectiveness of change.
  • Manage capacity modelling and forecasting activities including: reviewing information in conjunction with service level agreements to identify capacity issues and specifying any required changes; working with business representatives to agree and implement short- and medium-term modifications to capacity.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Minimum 7 years of experience as a Senior Systems Engineer delivering upgrades to SMPT services and ensuring DMARC compliance.
  • Strong experience in managing broader Google Workspace suite, providing oversight of changes within the Google Workspace environment, including managing vendor-initiated updates, maintaining service roadmaps, and identifying opportunities to adopt new capabilities.
  • Provide technical expertise and utilise system management software and tools to collect performance statistics; carry out maintenance tasks/routines; provide expert advice and develop recommendations to guide the platform’s evolution.
  • Ability to lead the assessment, analysis, documentation and implementation of changes, seeking authority for complex requests, developing implementation plans, undertaking evaluation of risk to the integrity of service environment in proposed implementations
  • Undertake and manage reviews of system updates, identifying those that merit action; tailor system software to maximise functionality; install and tests new versions of system software

This role will be open for remote candidates located within the eastern time zone.

The Role Responsibilities:

  • Manage a group of 6-8 software engineers across multiple teams focused on different internal projects and tasks
  • Conduct regular check-ins and feedback sessions on areas of improvement around contributions to product they’re working on
  • Collaborate with Product Team on projects with engineers assigned to determine prioritization and team adjustments to meet task achievements and goals
  • Ensuring cross-team projects are properly scheduled for optimal delivery time on technical projects where you are the lead
  • Code reviews and discussions with engineers to ensure architectural implementation details
  • Evaluate severity of product bugs and technical issues to document impact and correct prioritization

Required Experience:

  • Programming experience with Go and React
