About the Role

Talent International is partnering with a leading avionics client to deliver a major air traffic infrastructure refurbishment program.

This role sits within the technical systems stream of the program and will focus on delivering robust and reliable software and system engineering outcomes that support safe, modern, and efficient air traffic operations.

The ideal candidate will be a strategic problem solver who can connect complex technical and operational elements, communicate effectively across large stakeholder groups, and drive progress even when facing resistance or ambiguity.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the design, development, testing, and implementation of resilient software and system solutions

• Apply systems engineering practices throughout the full SDLC and system lifecycle management

• Manage technical stakeholders and vendors to ensure successful delivery across multiple project streams

• Prepare and review system design and solution architecture documentation, ensuring alignment with overall strategy and existing initiatives

• Provide strong leadership, influencing and guiding outcomes through effective communication and stakeholder engagement

• Take ownership of deliverables and operate with autonomy as a senior technical contributor within a high-performing team

What You’ll Bring

• A degree in Engineering or Information Technology from an Australian tertiary institution (or certified equivalent qualification)

• Eligibility for registration as a Professional Engineer (RPEQ) or equivalent

• Proven experience applying Systems Engineering principles across design, development, and implementation phases

• Extensive experience in software system design, development, testing, and quality/configuration management

• Demonstrated strength in stakeholder and vendor management within complex, multi-disciplinary environments

• Excellent business writing, documentation, and communication skills

• The ability to operate with limited direction, showing initiative and accountability for outcomes

Experience within air traffic control, aviation systems, or broader aerodrome technology environments will be highly regarded.

ICT Support Officer – Scientific Laboratories

Locations: Lindfield (NSW), North Ryde (NSW) or Port Melbourne (VIC)
Clearance: Baseline AGSVA (required)

We’re looking for an ICT professional to help modernise and support the digital systems behind Australia’s leading scientific laboratories. You’ll work closely with scientists and ICT teams to improve workflows, manage laboratory software and data, and enhance the performance of secure (air-gapped) networks.

What you’ll do:

• Support and improve laboratory IT systems and processes

• Map data flows and help modernise data management

• Maintain software and licence inventories

• Collaborate with scientists, technicians and vendors

• Contribute to digital infrastructure projects and documentation

What we’re looking for:

• 3+ years’ experience supporting IT enhancement projects

• Strong problem-solving, organisational and communication skills

• Experience in laboratory or scientific ICT environments

• Active Baseline AGSVA security clearance

Desirable:

• Degree in ICT, engineering, or a scientific discipline

• Knowledge of software development, cyber security or data analysis

• Familiarity with lab standards (TGA, NATA)

A startup company within the prop-tech space, is looking to add a Software Engineering Manager to their growing team. Shaking up the commercial real estate space, their exciting product focuses on helping property owners and managers cut energy costs and emissions.

This role will be open for remote candidates located within the eastern time zone.

The Role Responsibilities:

• Manage a group of 6-8 software engineers across multiple teams focused on different internal projects and tasks
• Conduct regular check-ins and feedback sessions on areas of improvement around contributions to product they’re working on
• Collaborate with Product Team on projects with engineers assigned to determine prioritization and team adjustments to meet task achievements and goals
• Ensuring cross-team projects are properly scheduled for optimal delivery time on technical projects where you are the lead
• Code reviews and discussions with engineers to ensure architectural implementation details
• Evaluate severity of product bugs and technical issues to document impact and correct prioritization

Required Experience:

• Programming experience with Go and React
• 2+ Years of managing a team of at least 4 engineers
• Experience with managing remote/off shore resources and team members
• Experience interviewing and hiring engineers for a growing team
• Has worked in a startup environment previously
