About the Role

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Systems Integration & Test Engineer to join a highly skilled Defence engineering team delivering complex technology solutions. In this senior role, you will lead integration, verification and validation activities across sophisticated systems, ensuring solutions are delivered to the highest standards of quality, performance and reliability.

Working within a cooperative, multidisciplinary environment, you’ll play a key role throughout the engineering life-cycle from planning and integration through to testing, analysis and system acceptance.

An NV1 Security Clearance minimum is required to be considered a successful candidate.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead system integration, verification, validation and testing activities across complex projects.

• Develop and execute integration and test strategies, plans, procedures and schedules.

• Design and perform integration, functional, interface and system testing.

• Analyse test results, investigate issues and produce detailed technical reports.

• Identify, document and manage defects through to successful resolution.

• Configure and maintain test environments, hardware and software platforms.

• Troubleshoot complex hardware, software and interface issues.

• Work closely with engineering, project and customer stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

• Participate in technical reviews, project planning and estimation activities.

• Provide technical leadership, mentoring and guidance to engineers within the team.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives across engineering and testing processes.

About You

You are a senior engineer with extensive experience integrating and testing complex systems. You enjoy solving challenging technical problems, working collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams and mentoring others.

You’ll also bring:

• Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or a related discipline.

• Extensive experience in systems integration, verification, validation and testing.

• Strong understanding of systems engineering principles and engineering lifecycles.

• Experience developing test plans, procedures and automated or manual test environments.

• Knowledge of configuration, change and data management practices.

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Join a growing technology team as a Senior Systems Engineer, delivering Level 3 technical support and leading infrastructure projects across Microsoft, cloud, networking and cyber security environments. You’ll troubleshoot complex issues, mentor junior engineers, and build trusted client relationships while delivering high-quality IT solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Provide Level 3 technical support across server, cloud, networking and end-user environments.
• Design, implement and support IT infrastructure solutions and technical projects.

• Microsoft Personal Computer Operating Systems, including installation, configuration and administrative tasks;
• Microsoft Server Operating Systems, including deploying and managing Window’s Server Environments, and effective management of Active Directory;
• Microsoft 365 Microsoft Suite, such as Exchange Online, OneDrive, SharePoint, Entra ID & Teams.
• Understanding of core Microsoft SaaS based applications such as Entra ID, Azure, Purview, Defender;
• Extensive experience using WatchGuard product stack;
• Extensive experience using Veeam data protection applications;
• Knowledgeable in Network Server Hardwares;
• Proficient in utilising Performance Monitoring and Diagnostic Tools;
• Extensive knowledge in implementing and managing Firewall & Network Security Systems;
• Extensive understanding of zero-trust networks and concepts;
• Familiarity with PC Business Application Software tools;

What We’re Looking For

This role will be open for remote candidates located within the eastern time zone.

The Role Responsibilities:

• Manage a group of 6-8 software engineers across multiple teams focused on different internal projects and tasks
• Conduct regular check-ins and feedback sessions on areas of improvement around contributions to product they’re working on
• Collaborate with Product Team on projects with engineers assigned to determine prioritization and team adjustments to meet task achievements and goals
• Ensuring cross-team projects are properly scheduled for optimal delivery time on technical projects where you are the lead
