Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and maintain enterprise-grade Power BI dashboards, reports and interactive visualisations.
  • Translate complex business requirements into scalable reporting and analytics solutions.
  • Develop semantic models and optimise data models for performance and usability.
  • Write and optimise advanced SQL queries for data extraction, transformation and reporting.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts and technical teams to define reporting requirements.
  • Support testing activities including system, integration, user acceptance and production validation.
  • Implement data quality controls and ensure reporting aligns with governance standards.
  • Develop reporting standards, documentation and best practice guidelines.
  • Support the adoption of Microsoft Fabric and modern cloud-based analytics platforms.
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting performance, automation and analytics capability.

Required Experience

  • Demonstrated experience developing enterprise Power BI reports and dashboards.
  • Strong SQL development skills, including query optimisation and performance tuning.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Fabric or modern cloud-based analytics platforms.
  • Strong understanding of data modelling, semantic models and reporting architecture.
  • Experience working with large and complex datasets.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing principles and dimensional modelling.
  • Ability to gather requirements through stakeholder workshops and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering business value.

Highly Desirable

  • Microsoft Fabric implementation experience.
  • Experience with Kimball dimensional modelling methodologies.
  • Knowledge of enterprise data governance and data quality frameworks.
  • Microsoft Power BI or related Business Intelligence certifications.
  • Experience working within Agile delivery environments.

You’ll work closely with Application Owners, Identity Architecture, and Security to improve how identity integrates across systems during cloud migration, and to strengthen identity and access management controls, including Identity Governance.

What you’ll be doing

  • Modernising workforce identity capabilities and supporting cloud integration across enterprise systems
  • Implementing and improving IAM controls, including Identity Governance
  • Partnering with security and architecture teams to uplift authentication, federation, and access standards
  • Supporting secure access outcomes across the identity lifecycle (including privileged access and access risk)

  • Strong end-to-end IAM / workforce identity experience (delivery-focused, not just advisory)
  • Practical experience across:

An experienced ICT professional is required to support, sustain, and enhance critical network and software systems within a secure operational environment. This role combines hands-on technical support, systems integration, compliance activities, and stakeholder engagement to ensure mission-critical capabilities remain reliable, secure, and fit for purpose.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide network and software engineering support for operational ICT systems.
  • Support system integration, testing, verification, and capability enhancements.
  • Manage technical issues, sustainment activities, and vendor engagement.
  • Contribute to governance, compliance, accreditation, and security requirements.
  • Deliver technical advice, documentation, training, and stakeholder support.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in Network Engineering, ICT Support, and/or Software Engineering roles within complex and highly regulated operational environments.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical industry experience.
  • Strong understanding of ICT maintenance, system governance, assurance processes, and end-to-end capability lifecycle management, including accreditation and regulatory compliance.
  • Demonstrated capability in system verification and validation activities, compliance assessment against recognised standards, and support of operational accreditation requirements.
  • Experience delivering ICT sustainment, system integration, testing, evaluation, and continuous capability improvement initiatives.
  • Working knowledge of Defence acquisition, governance, and capability management frameworks, including relevant policy and business management processes.

Desirable

  • Experience supporting or working within the 4th Squadron network environment.
  • Demonstrated experience mentoring and training technical personnel.
  • Experience managing vendor relationships, support arrangements, and service delivery.

The Role Responsibilities:

  • Manage a group of 6-8 software engineers across multiple teams focused on different internal projects and tasks
  • Conduct regular check-ins and feedback sessions on areas of improvement around contributions to product they’re working on
  • Collaborate with Product Team on projects with engineers assigned to determine prioritization and team adjustments to meet task achievements and goals
  • Ensuring cross-team projects are properly scheduled for optimal delivery time on technical projects where you are the lead
  • Code reviews and discussions with engineers to ensure architectural implementation details
  • Evaluate severity of product bugs and technical issues to document impact and correct prioritization
