The Role
Join our state government client as a Senior Project Officer on an initial 3-month contract with potential for extension. Your role will be pivotal in achieving the unit’s objectives by developing and upholding standards, frameworks, and assurance programs to ensure compliant program and project delivery across the department.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and enhance standards and frameworks to meet compliance requirements.
  • Support stakeholders in applying standards and frameworks effectively.
  • Contribute to best practice procurement, including construction procurement panel administration.
  • Assist in managing independent assurance services.

About You

  • Proven experience in project management and procurement within a government or public sector environment.

The Role

We are seeking a Senior Adviser, Portfolio Governance and Strategy to join our government client. This role involves supporting the strategic planning and reporting efforts across various agencies. You will play a key role in ensuring that our department meets its statutory obligations by facilitating corporate plans and coordinating annual reports. This role is 0.4FTE (2 days per week) part time. It’s an initial contract until November with a potential to extend.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the annual preparation and coordination of corporate plans and annual reports for transport and planning agencies.
  • Ensure compliance with legislative requirements through effective coordination and approval processes.
  • Support the Portfolio Governance and Strategy team in achieving broader deliverables and implementing improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of work activities in line with legislative and departmental policies.

About You:

  • Proven experience in strategic planning and reporting, preferably within a government context.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to provide measured advice and make sound judgments.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines effectively.
