About the Role
As an APS5 Project Officer, you will facilitate the successful delivery of various projects and initiatives. You will coordinate different work-streams, manage documentation, and leverage stakeholder relationships to achieve project goals. Your ability to analyse data for reporting insights will contribute to effective decision-making processes as well as innovative solutions that enhance service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage project initiatives independently to meet deadlines and quality standards.
  • Coordinate work-streams and track actions to support change initiatives.
  • Produce clear communication materials and updates for stakeholders.
  • Ensure data accuracy and compliance across systems while managing confidentiality.
  • Analyse data and create accessible reports and presentations.
  • Utilise SharePoint efficiently for document management and stakeholder engagement.
  • Develop positive relationships with stakeholders to facilitate project delivery.
  • Identify and propose process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.

Skills and Experience

  • Proven technical skills and experience in project and program environments.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement capabilities, fostering collaborative relationships.
  • Sound analytical skills for data interpretation and actionable insights.
  • Experience in change management strategies to support staff transitions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences.

Qualifications

  • Relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualifications.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager (Digitalisation and Automation) to play a critical role in driving digital transformation and operational excellence within a large-scale telecommunications environment.

This role will lead the delivery of innovative digital and automation initiatives that enhance efficiency, reduce operational costs, accelerate service delivery, and improve overall customer experience. You will work at the forefront of modernising systems, processes, and ways of working, contributing directly to strategic business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end planning, execution, and closure of digitalisation and automation projects
  • Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with key stakeholders
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, resource allocation, and budgets
  • Drive the implementation of automation tools, digital platforms, and process improvements
  • Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and change control effectively
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including technology, operations, and external partners
  • Monitor project performance and provide clear reporting on progress, milestones, and benefits realisation
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to agreed quality standards

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Proven experience managing digital transformation and automation projects in complex environments
  • Strong understanding of digitalization and automation technologies (Robotic Process Automation (RPA), AI/ML in operations, process orchestration)
  • PMP certification mandatory.
  • Strong project management capability across Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery models
  • Experience in telecom network environment (mobile / RAN / transmission / network ops) strongly preferred
  • Experience working within telecommunications, technology, or large-scale infrastructure organisations
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills at all levels
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver outcomes in a busy environment

  • Familiarity with:
  • AI applications and adaptions
  • Agile delivery practices (Scrum/Kanban) and hybrid project governance
  • Change management and business adoption planning
  • Data-driven reporting / dashboards (Power BI)
