We are seeking two experienced Area Grid Planners to support the establishment of a new Area Grid Planning capability within a major national transmission infrastructure environment.

These roles will help integrate and coordinate planned work across projects, maintenance, and capital programmes, ensuring safe, efficient, and well-sequenced delivery across a complex and critical network.

About the Role

You will work across:

• Grid Delivery – project delivery and maintenance execution
• Grid Development – future network planning and investment direction

The focus is to create a single, integrated view of outages, sequencing, dependencies, constraints, and risks across multiple portfolios.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate outages and network work across multiple programmes
• Identify and manage dependencies, constraints, sequencing conflicts, and risks
• Optimise timing, access, and scheduling across delivery teams
• Support integrated planning across maintenance, capital works, and customer connections
• Facilitate planning discussions and governance forums
• Provide planning insights, reporting, and recommendations to stakeholders
• Contribute to continuous improvement of planning processes and data quality

About You

You will have strong experience in outage planning, network operations, or large-scale infrastructure delivery environments.

We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in:

• Electricity transmission or distribution networks
• Rail, transport, or other complex infrastructure environments
• Utilities such as water, gas, or telecommunications
• Project controls, scheduling, or integrated planning roles

You will ideally bring:

• Strong outage planning and sequencing capability
• Experience managing complex dependencies across multiple stakeholders
• Ability to work in operational and delivery-focused environments
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to influence and coordinate without direct authority
• Exposure to governance or planning forums (advantageous)

• Collaborate with Product Team on projects with engineers assigned to determine prioritization and team adjustments to meet task achievements and goals
• Ensuring cross-team projects are properly scheduled for optimal delivery time on technical projects where you are the lead
