This large government body is seeking an experienced a Cloud Engineer – Network to design, build, and support secure, scalable enterprise network solutions across on-premises, Azure, and AWS environments.

In this role you will play a key part in delivering resilient, high-performance network services that support critical business systems and cloud transformation initiatives.

You’ll work closely with architects and engineering teams to translate approved designs into operational solutions, supporting migrations, uplift programs, and ongoing network optimisation across multi-cloud platforms.

Key responsibilities

  • Design and implement enterprise network solutions across on-prem, Azure, and AWS
  • Configure and support physical and cloud networking (firewalls, routers, switches, VNets, gateways, load balancers)
  • Deliver hybrid and cross-environment connectivity (ExpressRoute, site-to-site and point-to-site VPNs)
  • Ensure network solutions meet security, performance, and availability requirements
  • Support migrations, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives

Skills and experience

  • Strong experience in enterprise networking across cloud and on-prem environments
  • Hands-on experience with Azure networking including virtual networks and security controls
  • Experience with AWS networking constructs
  • Strong hands-on experience with physical networking infrastructure, such as routers, firewalls and switching platforms
  • Experience using Infrastructure-as-code tools to deploy and manage network infrastructure (Terraform preferred)
  • Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and collaboration skills

This role is hands-on and delivery-focused, working across endpoint management, security, and modern workplace technologies to ensure a smooth and secure migration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review existing on-premises Group Policies and assess suitability for Intune

  • Design and implement GPO-to-Intune policy migration

  • Configure and optimise Intune, Autopilot, and endpoint security policies

  • Support application packaging, image build, and deployment activities

  • Collaborate with technical and service teams to minimise risk and disruption

  • Manage a group of 6-8 software engineers across multiple teams focused on different internal projects and tasks
  • Conduct regular check-ins and feedback sessions on areas of improvement around contributions to product they’re working on
  • Collaborate with Product Team on projects with engineers assigned to determine prioritization and team adjustments to meet task achievements and goals
  • Ensuring cross-team projects are properly scheduled for optimal delivery time on technical projects where you are the lead
  • Code reviews and discussions with engineers to ensure architectural implementation details
  • Evaluate severity of product bugs and technical issues to document impact and correct prioritization

Required Experience:
