As a Senior Network Engineer, you will be instrumental in ensuring the integrity and health of our network systems. You will provide expert technical support to the ICT Telecoms team, lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of a hybrid network environment, and play a pivotal role in driving continuous improvement initiatives. This role includes after-hours on-call support, requiring onsite presence at various facilities to resolve ICT emergencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Propose and implement improvements to enhance network performance, efficiency, and reliability while minimizing downtime.
  • Manage and support network services including DNS, DHCP, and environmental monitoring within a diverse vendor environment (e.g., HP/Aruba, Paloalto, Cisco).
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation and ensure data accuracy within the ICT Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
  • Plan, communicate, and execute changes to the network and telecom environments, contributing to change management processes.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot network infrastructure proactively to ensure optimal operation and prevent faults.
  • Provide subject matter expertise for ICT projects and solution design activities.
  • Develop and enforce security procedures in line with industry best practices and organizational policies.
  • Build and nurture relationships with internal and external stakeholders, evaluate new hardware/software solutions, and oversee ICT quality and compliance.

  • Balancing multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining high network service standards.
  • Staying current with evolving technologies in wired and wireless LAN, WAN, routing, security, and telephony.
  • Collaborating with ICT management to uphold security and data integrity, including responding to security threats and incidents.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Industry-recognized certifications such as Aruba ACMP, ACSP, or equivalent, or extensive relevant experience supporting hybrid network environments.
  • Proven experience managing diverse technologies including IP routing, switching protocols, VPNs, firewalls, and wireless solutions.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to varied audiences.
  • Experience designing scalable network architectures and delivering training or mentorship to ICT staff.
  • Familiarity with ITIL or similar service management frameworks for delivering IT services.
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and incident management skills.
  • Valid Class C Driver’s License.

    • Local Area Network deployment and troubleshooting
    • Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers and Wifi technologies deployment and troubleshooting
    • Cisco Catalyst Center and Cisco Software Defined Access deployment and troubleshooting
