You will be joining a critical, fast-paced multi-year program which aims to build a new, best of breed trading network. You will be responsible for the build, deployment and support of this new network, working across multiple streams to ensure the project is delivered within tight deadlines.

This position will be engage extensively with business stakeholders, technology teams and vendors and will require you to be collaborative, flexible and adaptable to changing priorities in this fluid project environment.

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Tertiary qualifications and/or relevant vendor certifications (CCIE etc.)
  • Demonstrated core network engineering delivery experience gained within large, complex environments
  • Advanced knowledge and experience in the build and deployment of network solutions in large datacentre (VXLAN, Spine Leaf) environments
  • Superior knowledge of routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF
  • Previous experience working with Multicast would be highly regarded
  • Superior troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work independently as required

This is a Sydney based role and requires candidates to attend the office three days per week.

We are seeking an experienced ‘Network Engineer’ to play a key role in a large-scale ICT Infrastructure Refresh program. This initiative is focused on renewing ageing ICT infrastructure and end-user devices across multiple directorates, ensuring alignment with enterprise priorities around service continuity, cybersecurity, and operational efficiency.

Under the Infrastructure Refresh stream, you will support the delivery of critical network replacement activities, working closely with senior engineers, architects, and external vendors to implement enterprise-grade solutions across multiple locations.

Key responsibilities of the position:

  • Deliver enterprise-scale network infrastructure refresh activities across multiple sites.
  • Translate high-level architectural designs into detailed network implementation plans.
  • Lead network implementation, upgrades, and migrations in line with enterprise frameworks.
  • Prepare and maintain network design documentation and artefacts.
  • Provide mentoring and technical guidance to colleagues on relevant network technologies.
  • Engage and collaborate with key vendors (Cisco, Checkpoint, F5) and stakeholders across delivery teams.
  • Prioritise and manage competing deliverables to meet program milestones.

What we are looking for:

  • Proven expertise in implementing, fault resolution, and delivery of enterprise networking technologies in large-scale programs.
  • Strong configuration and troubleshooting skills across Cisco, Checkpoint, and F5 technologies.
  • Sound knowledge of ICT infrastructure trends including hybrid environments and cloud integration.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in complex program delivery environments.
  • Relevant qualifications or industry certifications in Network Engineering (CCNP/CCIE desirable).

Desirable skills & experience:

  • Experience working within government or large enterprise environments.
  • Familiarity with whole-of-government ICT frameworks and delivery standards.
  • Exposure to WHS requirements such as White Card, Asbestos Awareness, and Crystalline Silica prevention.
