Role Details

The 3D Design Drafter will deliver comprehensive drafting and 3D modelling services for a major capital project. This role will support the engineering team by developing, maintaining, and managing detailed design documentation to ensure accuracy, compliance, and seamless project execution.

You will:

  • Develop and integrate 3D models, including incorporation of OEM 3D models.
  • Produce new drawings, as-built drawings from redline mark-ups, and mark-ups/cross-references of existing plant drawings.
  • Follow established drafting standards, procedures, and drawing management systems, including revision control, storage, and backups.
  • Provide design and drafting support to engineers and project teams.
  • Ensure all drafting activities comply with the Engineering Management Plan (ASMAP-PROJ-ENGR-PLN-0001).

Required Skills and Experience

  • 10+ years’ experience in 3D design and drafting, ideally within heavy industry or large-scale capital projects.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Inventor 3D software.
  • Strong capability in 3D modelling, model management, and 2D drafting.
  • Experience using point clouds to verify as-built structures and equipment.
  • Skilled in Navisworks for model review and coordination.
  • Proven ability to estimate drafting effort and manage competing priorities.
