The role
We are seeking a Senior Intranet Officer (APS6 Level) for an initial term of 12 months paying an hourly rate of $60.26 per hour + Super.

With a flexible work policy, this challenging position can be based in Richmond or Geelong. (WFH Flexibility). The position will become a valuable member of the Internal Communications Branch, leading the internal and external communications of corporate publications. The APS6 Senior Intranet Officer is an independent position, accountable for organising workflow and providing specialised advice based on policy and legislation. The APS6 Senior Intranet Officer will have a considerable level of contact with internal stakeholders and will be required to communicate with and provide advice on a range of matters to resolve moderately complex to complex enquiries.

Key accountabilities will include:

  • Working closely with business areas to analyse, identify and create content for the intranet.
  • Ensuring decision-making and intranet content aligns with the Agency’s content strategy, Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 (conform to at least AA level), relevant style guides and plain English standards. This includes identifying gaps in intranet content.
  • Identifying and developing important internal stakeholder relationships, addressing, and resolving any emerging challenges with stakeholders.
  • Reporting on and evaluating intranet performance for key internal audiences and making recommendations for content optimisation based on analysis and research.
  • Supporting business areas in the development and uplift of content from the Agency’s old intranet to the new intranet (including a focus on document accessibility).
  • Working with the Strategic Communications division, and other internal key stakeholders, to deliver on business and communication objectives.
  • Leading and contributing to the intranet redevelopment as required.
  • Leading and supporting team members with administration, technical and procedural tasks.

Skills and experience

  • SharePoint experience essential, preferably SharePoint Online
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Managing/working on Intranet systems
  • Understanding of the NDIS and disability sector
