Team Lead, Information Management
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Information Management professional to lead the strategic direction of information governance, records management, data quality, and digital transformation initiatives within a large and complex organisation.
In this role you will provide enterprise-wide leadership across information governance, records management, and data quality functions. You will also lead a team of information management professionals, partnering closely with stakeholders across the organisation to embed robust governance practices and support transformational change.
Key Activities
- Lead the development and implementation of enterprise-wide information and records management frameworks.
- Establish and govern data quality standards, monitoring data integrity and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Oversee the transition to modern digital systems, including records management platforms and data repositories.
- Manage information governance risks and ensure compliance with legislative, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide expert advice on records management, privacy, data protection, retention, and disposal practices.
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Drive stakeholder engagement and organisational adoption of new systems, processes, and governance practices.
Skills and experience
- Extensive experience developing and implementing information and records management frameworks and policies.
- Strong knowledge of public records legislation, compliance requirements, records standards, and audit frameworks.
- Demonstrated expertise in privacy, data protection, information governance, and defensible disposal practices.
- Experience leading teams and driving organisational change initiatives.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, and influencing skills.
- Excellent analytical, project management, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience delivering training, coaching, and capability uplift programs across diverse stakeholder groups.
- Qualifications in Information Management, Records Management, Library & Information Services, or a related discipline.
