Our client is seeking to bring on-board a ‘Senior Business Analyst’ to support the uplift of their current Data Warehouse, Reporting, and Business Intelligence capabilities. This role sits within the Database Management and Dynamics Section (DBM), responsible for planning, designing, and maintaining our client’s enterprise databases, data warehouse systems, and BI reporting platforms. The position directly contributes to the Application Platform Program (APP), a major initiative focused on rehosting legacy 2008/2012 server-based applications onto secure, modern infrastructure and strengthening cyber resilience.

Key responsibilities of the position:

  • Analyse existing business processes, systems, and data flows to identify opportunities, inefficiencies, and risks.
  • Elicit, document, and manage requirements including epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and NFRs.
  • Create and maintain data models, process diagrams, wireframes, and solution visualisations.
  • Act as the conduit between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure clear communication and solution alignment.
  • Support testing activities, defect triage, and implementation planning across new system deployments.
  • Prepare and deliver reports, insights, recommendations, and executive-level documentation.
  • Produce user guides, training materials, and knowledge artefacts for new or enhanced systems.

What we are looking for:

  • Minimum 7+ years experience in Business Analysis roles within complex ICT environments.
  • Proven ability to confidently elicit, define, and manage epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and non-functional requirements.
  • Strong experience facilitating workshops, interviews, and collaborative sessions with senior business and technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated capability to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities using recognised modelling and analysis tools and standards.
  • Experience applying Business Analysis practices to emerging technology challenges, particularly across data, integration, BI, and modernisation projects.
  • Relevant ICT or Business Analysis qualifications (e.g., IIBA or equivalent).

Desirable skills & expertise:

  • Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams, prioritise effectively, and meet critical deadlines.
  • Familiarity with business intelligence and reporting software/tools.

Role Overview

The EL1 Data Engineer is a senior member of the data warehouse project team, responsible for end-to-end delivery of new data pipelines, reviewing and approving data models, providing technical guidance to developers, and maintaining high-quality documentation. The role requires hands-on technical delivery, leadership, and knowledge transfer to support the project stream and broader data platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership through design reviews, best-practice guidance, and technical workshops.

  • Lead the end-to-end technical implementation of new data, including:
