About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the end-to-end procurement, implementation and delivery of an enterprise Learning & Development (L&D) platform.

This is a time-critical delivery role with defined reporting milestones and external commitments, requiring someone who can quickly take control of an initiative already in motion and drive delivery outcomes at pace.

Working closely with ICT Architecture and key business stakeholders, you will ensure the solution is scalable, technically sound and aligned with broader workforce reform objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the procurement, implementation and delivery of an enterprise L&D platform
  • Take ownership of an existing Significant Procurement Plan and drive completion
  • Undertake discovery and planning activities to confirm scope, sequencing and milestones
  • Establish and manage governance controls (PID, schedules, RAID logs, reporting, budget tracking)
  • Coordinate internal stakeholders across ICT, Finance, Procurement and Business Units
  • Manage vendors and oversee delivery to ensure outcomes and value for money
  • Identify and escalate delivery risks, issues and dependencies
  • Support transition planning, handover and operational readiness
  • Contribute to other ICT portfolio initiatives as required

Skills & Experience Required

  • Strong experience delivering complex ICT projects end-to-end (procurement through to transition)
  • Proven ability to take over projects mid-stream and stabilise delivery quickly
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and executive communication skills
  • Strong governance and reporting experience (PID, RAID, scheduling, budgeting)
  • Demonstrated vendor management capability
  • Experience working in government or a large public sector environment highly desirable
  • Project management certification (PRINCE2 / PMBOK / MSP etc.) preferred

Project Support Officer

We are currently looking for a Project Support Officer for a large government client based in Brisbane CBD for a contract until 11.09.2026 + likely extensions. You will join the departments Performance Monitoring and Reporting Unit, which delivers performance, business intelligence, monitoring, measurement and reporting products. The Unit has commenced a large BI intelligence program and is building a team of experts to support this high-profile initiative.

Role Purpose

The Project Support Officer will support the delivery of the Enterprise Data Platform (EDP) across a hybrid delivery model, combining:

  • Waterfall/stage-gate processes for Azure infrastructure, identity, security uplift, networking, governance, ARB (Architecture Review Boards), CAB (Change Advisory Boards), and operational readiness activities.
  • Agile practices for Microsoft Fabric development, data ingestion pipelines, analytical artefacts, iterative design, and user-facing functionality.

The Project Officer will coordinate ServiceNow tickets with IT teams, prepares ARB/CAB submissions, manages delivery artefacts, and supports the Project Manager in maintaining alignment between Agile workstreams and Waterfall dependency milestones.

Key Responsibilities

  • Aligned Agile/Waterfall delivery schedules, dependency maps, and registers.
  • ARB submissions and CAB change records prepared to enterprise standards.
  • Updated RAID log with clear Agile/Waterfall categorisation.
  • Accurate ServiceNow ticket and Azure DevOps tracking.
  • Weekly project reporting with consolidated view of both methodologies.
  • Stakeholder communications and governance documentation.
  • Environment readiness and operational handover artefacts.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Experience in hybrid Agile/Waterfall project environments.
  • Strong coordination and follow-up skills across multiple IT and business teams.
  • Practical experience with ServiceNow for IT change, incidents, and service requests/ticketing.
  • Experience supporting Azure cloud and platform delivery.
  • Exposure to Microsoft Fabric or modern data platform components.
  • Proficiency with Azure DevOps (Boards, Work Items, Queries).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Planner (Boards, Tasks, Checklists)
  • Strong SharePoint organisational skills for document management.
  • Understanding of ARB, CAB, and stage-gate governance processes.
  • Excellent communication, documentation skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to track dependencies and align Agile Sprints/Sprint Goals with Waterfall milestones.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of Azure cloud environments/landing zones, networking, identity, security, and monitoring.
  • Familiarity with Fabric artefacts (Lakehouse, Warehouse, Pipelines).
  • ITIL Foundation or similar.
  • Exposure to Power BI for project reporting.
