This is a 6-month daily rate contract with potential extensions based on project needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of the Data Warehouse migration project, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Develop and manage the project schedule, budget, and resource allocation.
  • Oversee the decommissioning of the existing data warehouse, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Coordinate the migration of all data to the new Databricks cloud environment, ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance.
  • Work closely with technical teams to ensure successful data migration, transformation, and testing.
  • Identify and mitigate risks and issues related to the migration, providing regular updates to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with business users to define requirements and ensure the new data platform meets their needs.
  • Facilitate communication across teams, ensuring clear understanding of project objectives, progress, and any roadblocks.
  • Ensure all project deliverables are met on time and within budget.
  • Post-migration, oversee the transition to operational support and ensure proper documentation is in place.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager, preferably with a focus on data warehouse migrations or cloud data platform projects.
  • Strong understanding of Data Warehousing concepts, data migration processes, and cloud-based data solutions, particularly Databricks.
  • Experience in managing decommissioning projects and large-scale data migrations.
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies, particularly Azure or AWS, and experience in cloud data platforms.
  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working in Agile environments and utilising project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello, MS Project).

Contract Details:

  • Full-time, 6-month daily rate contract.
  • Competitive daily rate based on experience.
