Workforce Planning Specialist (APS6/EL1 level)
Our client is a Federal Government regulator focused on safeguarding quality and safety outcomes, and is seeking 2x Workforce Planning Specialists (APS6 / EL1 level) to support development and initial implementation of a contemporary Workforce Plan.
This role suits someone strong in workforce analytics/modelling who can translate data into practical planning advice and deliver strategic workforce products in a complex environment.
ROLE DETAILS:
Contract: Initial 6 month term (extension likely)
Working arrangements: Hybrid 2/3 WFH split
Security: Baseline clearance required
Rate: $65-$110 + super (depending on experience)
ABOUT THE ROLE:
You will undertake strategic workforce planning including demand/supply analysis, capability analysis and modelling, identify workforce risks and critical capabilities, and lead or contribute to a refreshed Workforce Plan aligned to organisational strategy and future operating context.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Undertake workforce demand and supply analysis, capability analysis and workforce modelling
- Identify workforce risks, critical capabilities and dependencies and provide evidence-based insights
- Lead/contribute to a refreshed Workforce Plan aligned to strategy, funding parameters and future operating context
- Provide workforce planning input into organisational design and future-state operating model activities (translate workforce impacts into models/scenarios)
- Develop practical workforce planning tools, templates and documentation to support implementation and ongoing use
- Support implementation, monitoring and governance arrangements for workforce planning
- Provide clear written and verbal advice to senior leaders and engage stakeholders across the organisation
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
- Experience in workforce planning, workforce analytics or workforce modelling within complex organisations
- Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into practical workforce planning advice
- Experience developing workforce plans, models or similar strategic workforce products
- Strong written/verbal communication with experience advising senior stakeholders
- Ability to work collaboratively and manage competing priorities
Desirable: APS/public sector experience; service design, organisational change or operating model redesign exposure
