The Role

This role supports a mission-critical program by ensuring ICT hardware, consumables, and logistics operations are managed accurately, safely, and efficiently. As a Warehouse Officer, you’ll play a hands-on role enabling operational readiness-working closely with maintenance teams, stakeholders, and international partners to keep systems moving and accounted for.

Your duties will include:

  • Maintain ICT hardware stores, consumables, and warehouse facilities across multiple sites
  • Perform end-to-end warehouse operations including receipt, storage, picking, packing, dispatch, and transport
  • Manage asset records, ensuring all items are accurately updated in TAMIT and related systems
  • Conduct scheduled audits, stocktakes, spot checks, and disposals in line with Defence policy
  • Action and triage support tickets and assist with hardware procurement
  • Operate forklifts and provide logistical support to stakeholders, exercises, and operational activities

Skills and Experience we are looking for:

  • Forklift licence, Driver’s licence, and Test & Tag certification (mandatory)
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Defence or government logistics and warehouse operations
  • Strong working knowledge of Defence logistics processes and asset management systems (e.g., TAMIT)
  • Ability to maintain accurate documentation with a high level of detail and data integrity
  • Physically capable of manual handling tasks and compliant with WHS and dangerous goods requirements
  • Clear communicator able to work collaboratively with Defence stakeholders and internal teams
