Seeking a skilled and motivated Field Service Technician to join our client’s dynamic team in Sydney. In this role, you’ll be responsible for the commissioning, maintenance, and repair of Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems and associated data centre infrastructure. You’ll deliver exceptional service both independently and as part of a team, ensuring critical systems operate at peak performance.

Technicians bring a string reputation within the market and provide high level service and care.

About the Role:

As a Field Service Technician, you will:

  • Commission, service, and fault-find UPS systems and associated critical power equipment.
  • Carry out on-site and in-house repairs.
  • Perform site inspections, testing, and create detailed documentation and service reports.
  • Provide technical support and training to customers, contractors, and internal staff.
  • Respond to emergency service calls and participate in a rotating on-call roster.
  • Undertake regional travel as required and engage in after-hours call-out work.
  • Always maintain a professional and safety-conscious approach, especially when working around energized electrical systems or in confined spaces.

Role Requirements:

  • A-Grade Electrical License (NSW)
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience servicing and maintaining UPS systems or similar equipment
  • Strong fault-finding and commissioning skills
  • A customer-focused mindset and strong communication skills
  • Ability to work safely and efficiently in various environments, including confined or elevated spaces
  • Current and valid Australian Driver’s License

Additional Requirements:

  • Comfortable with lifting and relocating equipment such as batteries and tools
  • Able to work in restricted or elevated environments
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for short-term regional projects
