Transition Project Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement transition and sustainment strategies to ensure long-term system readiness and reliability.

  • Lead stakeholder engagement across engineering, program, and operational teams to deliver smooth technical change and acceptance.

  • Manage sustainment risks and develop proactive mitigation strategies.

  • Oversee delivery of technical training and capability uplift programs for engineering and maintenance personnel.

  • Collaborate with procurement and legal teams to establish support agreements and vendor partnerships.

  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards while maintaining strong governance and reporting practices.

Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrated experience managing complex technology or infrastructure transition projects within large-scale environments.

  • Strong understanding of sustainment principles, risk management, and contract management.

  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and leadership skills across technical and business teams.

  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with vendors and external delivery partners.

  • Project management qualifications (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) highly desirable.

  • Experience in aviation, defence, or other highly regulated or safety-critical industries will be well regarded.

  • Australian Citizenship is mandatory.
