About the role:

We’re looking for a detail-oriented Software Tester with experience in custom tooling to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in complex environments, enjoys building or adapting tools to solve unique testing challenges, and is passionate about delivering high-quality software. You’ll play a key role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our systems, while also contributing to the development and optimisation of bespoke testing frameworks and tooling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases across a range of applications
  • Build, customise, and maintain testing tools and frameworks to support quality assurance processes
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to identify testing requirements early in the development lifecycle
  • Analyse defects, perform root cause analysis, and provide clear, actionable feedback
  • Improve testing efficiency through automation, scripting, and process innovation
  • Integrate custom tools into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous testing practices
  • Document test strategies, tooling approaches, and best practices

About You:

  • Proven experience as a Software Tester / QA Engineer, ideally in complex or enterprise environments
  • Hands-on experience developing or working with custom testing tools or frameworks
  • Strong scripting or programming skills (e.g. Python, JavaScript, Java, or similar)
  • Experience with test automation frameworks (e.g. Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, etc.)
  • Familiarity with API testing, performance testing, and/or test data management
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
  • Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with mocking tools, test harnesses, or internal QA platforms
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)
  • Exposure to microservices architectures
  • Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments
