Test Manager - Payroll

Our client is seeking a Test Manager with ADP Payroll experience to join their team on an initial 6 month contract.

The Test Manager will support a major HRIS and Payroll transformation project. The successful candidate will lead end-to-end testing across HR, Payroll, and connected downstream systems, ensuring solutions meet the highest standards of quality, compliance, and business readiness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end testing across HRIS and Payroll systems, covering functional, system, integration, regression, and UAT activities.

  • Develop, maintain, and execute test strategies, plans, cases, and scripts in line with project milestones and objectives.

  • Review and analyse business and functional requirements to ensure comprehensive test coverage.

  • Validate payroll processing, including awards, entitlements, deductions, superannuation, taxation, and statutory compliance.

  • Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with HR, Payroll, and Finance stakeholders.

Experience Required:

  • Experience working on HRIS/ Payroll projects within complex environments
  • In-depth knowledge of end-to-end payroll processes and HR system functionalities

  • Experienced in testing complex system integration’s and data workflows

  • Proficient with test management and defect tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, and HP ALM

  • Excellent analytical skills with a strong focus on accuracy and detail
