Test Lead

We’re seeking an experienced Test Lead to drive quality across two major, high-visibility initiatives: the Camera Detected Offence Program (CDOP) and the broader Road Safety System Program. These programs leverage advanced mobile camera detection technology and integrated digital platforms to support compliance, enforcement, and improved road safety outcomes.

About the Projects

You’ll play a key role across:

Camera Detected Offence Program (CDOP)
Focused on mobile and fixed camera technologies that capture and process offences in real time, this program involves:

Integration of camera hardware and field devices with backend systems
High-volume image and data processing pipelines
Validation and accuracy of offence detection and data capture
Complex workflows ensuring compliance, traceability, and auditability

Road Safety System Program
A broader ecosystem of platforms and services supporting road safety initiatives, including:

Integration across multiple systems, platforms, and stakeholders
Cloud-based and distributed architectures
Data exchange, analytics, and reporting capabilities
Continuous uplift of systems supporting enforcement and safety outcomes

These programs operate in a highly integrated, data-driven environment where quality, reliability, and accuracy are critical.

What You’ll Be Doing

Test Strategy & Governance

Own and deliver end-to-end test strategy across complex, multi-program environments
Define scope, environments, dependencies, and risk frameworks
Establish standards, metrics, and reporting aligned to best practice

Test Delivery Leadership

Lead system, integration, regression, and UAT testing across CDOP and Road Safety systems
Coordinate across internal teams and vendors to ensure seamless delivery
Monitor progress, manage risks, and ensure milestones are achieved
Provide release readiness and go-live recommendations

Quality, Risk & Defect Management

Oversee defect lifecycle, triage, and root cause analysis
Identify and manage risks across data, integration, and infrastructure layers
Deliver clear reporting on quality metrics and system readiness

Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement

Lead, mentor, and uplift test teams and vendor partners
Act as the escalation point for testing and quality issues
Engage effectively with technical and business stakeholders

Quality Engineering & Innovation

Drive automation strategy and CI/CD quality practices
Support testing across cloud, integration, and data-heavy systems
Contribute to evolving practices including AI-assisted testing and automation optimisation

What You’ll Bring

Essential:

Proven Test Lead experience in complex ICT or highly integrated environments
Strong background in end-to-end and multi-system testing
Experience working with data-intensive platforms and integration layers
ISTQB Foundation (or equivalent)
Excellent stakeholder and vendor management skills

Desirable:

Experience with camera systems, IoT/device integration, or enforcement platforms
Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Familiarity with Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines
Experience with tools like JIRA, Confluence, Zephyr
Automation and quality engineering capability
Interest or experience in AI-driven testing
