Test Director // Finance system

Our client is seeking an experienced Test Director to provide senior test leadership across a large-scale, complex transformation program. This role is responsible for defining and owning the end-to-end testing strategy, leading multiple testing streams, and ensuring quality outcomes across the full delivery lifecycle.

Operating in a multi-vendor, enterprise environment, the Test Director will work closely with senior stakeholders, program leadership and delivery partners to ensure testing is fit for purpose, well-governed and aligned to broader program objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Define and own the end-to-end testing strategy and approach

  • Lead all phases of testing, including integration testing, system verification, UAT and non-functional testing

  • Build, mobilise and lead large, multi-disciplinary testing teams

  • Engage with senior stakeholders and provide clear, confident test leadership

  • Manage testing delivery across multi-vendor and offshore models

  • Identify and manage testing risks, dependencies and scope changes

  • Provide testing effort estimates and input into delivery planning

  • Ensure testing aligns with organisational standards and delivery frameworks

  • Support the uplift of test automation and modern quality engineering practices

Requirements

  • Proven experience operating in a Test Director or equivalent senior test leadership role

  • Strong background leading testing for large, complex enterprise programs in Financial Services/Banking sector.

  • Experience managing multiple testing streams and large delivery teams

  • Demonstrated ability to engage with executive and senior stakeholder groups

  • End-to-end testing experience across integration, UAT, SVT and non-functional testing

  • Experience working within multi-vendor delivery environments

  • Exposure to finance systems, ERP platforms or core enterprise systems is desirable

  • Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
