Test Analyst

• Strong experience in API testing, automation, CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based data platforms
• 12 month contract with 2 x 12 month extension options
• Canberra location – hybrid working
• Minimum Baseline clearance required

Our Client

Our Federal Government client is Australia’s principle revenue collection agency, primarily responsible for administering the federal taxation system and superannuation legislation, as well as managing and delivering a range of Australian government payment and loan schemes.

The Role

This role sits within a collaborative, capability-driven team focused on innovation, continuous improvement, and technical excellence. You will play a key role in ensuring complex data platforms and services meet rigorous standards, contributing directly to large-scale transformation initiatives.

Your duties will include:

• Preparing, executing, and reviewing test requirements and scripts derived from design documentation
• Performing API testing to validate data services and system integrations
• Developing and maintaining automation scripts within CI/CD pipelines to support functional, integration, end-to-end, and performance testing
• Conducting cloud-based testing to ensure scalability, performance, and security compliance
• Identifying, documenting, and managing defects, coordinating investigations and working with triage teams to resolve issues
• Contributing to testing strategies, risk assessments, test plans, and continuous improvement initiatives across delivery teams

Skills and Experience we are looking for:

• Proven experience as a Test Analyst in complex data or enterprise environments
• Strong hands-on API testing and scripting experience using industry-standard tools
• Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining automated test scripts within CI/CD pipelines
• Experience testing cloud-based platforms and integrated data services
• Strong defect management capability with the ability to analyse root causes and coordinate resolution
• Ability to collaborate effectively with developers, product owners, and scrum teams, while mentoring junior testers where required
