Temporary Legal Secretary

Talent International, a leading Australian recruitment firm, have been engaged by our long standing client, a leading Criminal Law Practice. We are seeking a Legal Secretary/Legal Administrator for an immediate contract requirement within their Sydney team.

Role Title: Legal Secretary

Contract Length: Initial 4-6 week contract (likely to extend / potential to convert)

Location + WFH Flexibility: Sydney CBD – 5 days onsite

Hourly Pay: $35-$45 per hour + super

Start Date: ASAP

Role Details:

* Provide day-to-day administrative support including phones, emails, file openings and archiving

* Assist with drafting basic correspondence and general file management

* Support front-of-house duties including greeting clients and assisting with office upkeep (e.g. meeting rooms)

* Work closely with the Admin Manager and support 3 lawyers within a broader team of 6 lawyers and 3 paralegals

* Handle a high volume of incoming calls as a key part of the role

* Step in across general office tasks and provide support where needed in a busy environment

Required Skills and Experiences:

* Experience in an administrative or client-facing role (legal not essential)

* Strong communication skills and confidence handling phone-based responsibilities

* High level of empathy and ability to work with clients in high-stress situations

* Strong organisational skills and ability to multitask

* Comfortable using computers and administrative systems

* Understanding of confidentiality and professionalism
