Role Overview: As the Technical Trainer, your primary responsibility will be to support the continuous development of skills within the Network ‘Total Workforce’ by delivering training courses/programs and conducting competency-based assessments. Your role will ensure compliance with the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) and established competency standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct training sessions and maintain records to fulfill the training delivery program and schedule.
  • Cultivate and sustain positive relationships with customers, clients, and stakeholders, ensuring the achievement of key objectives.
  • Execute assigned work plans within agreed timelines and deliverables.
  • Provide mentorship to trainees, facilitating on-the-job training, workplace learning, and formal leadership experiences.

Desired Qualifications and Skills:

  • Hold a Certificate III in ESI – Power Systems (Distribution Cable Jointing and/or Distribution Overhead) dated 2006 or newer.
  • Possess an unrestricted WA electrical license.
  • Demonstrate 7+ years of relevant industry experience in the Electricity Supply Industry or related sectors.
  • Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills, fostering effective interaction with stakeholders.
  • Ability to work autonomously, prioritise tasks, and achieve predetermined deliverables within established timelines.
  • Flexibility to work and travel to various depot locations as needed.
  • Hold a valid WA Driver’s License Class ‘C’ or ‘C-A’, or have the capability to transfer an equivalent interstate license.
