About the Role

As the Technical Test Lead, you will be responsible for designing and implementing modern automation frameworks, establishing quality engineering standards, and embedding automated quality controls throughout the delivery lifecycle.

Working across multiple SaaS platforms and integrations, you will combine technical leadership with hands-on delivery to improve release confidence, accelerate execution, and build long-term automation capability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement scalable automation frameworks across API, integration, and UI layers.
  • Drive an API-first testing approach including contract testing, integration testing, and end-to-end validation.
  • Establish reusable automation assets and engineering standards that promote maintainability and scalability.
  • Embed automated quality gates into CI/CD pipelines and support reliable test orchestration across environments.
  • Lead secure test data management practices, including provisioning, masking, obfuscation, and lifecycle management.
  • Define and execute performance, compatibility, and non-functional testing strategies.
  • Provide hands-on technical leadership through code reviews, mentoring, standards development, and engineering uplift.
  • Coach internal teams and vendors, fostering quality engineering best practices and communities of practice.
  • Develop and monitor quality metrics, dashboards, and reporting focused on automation health, coverage, stability, and pipeline effectiveness.

About You

You are a technically strong quality engineering professional who enjoys solving complex automation challenges and leading by example.

You will bring:

  • Proven experience as a Technical Test Lead, Lead SDET, Senior SDET, or Quality Engineering Lead.
  • Strong software engineering capability with experience designing and building automation frameworks from the ground up.
  • Deep expertise in API automation, contract testing, integration testing, and end-to-end orchestration.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD practices, automated quality gates, and GitHub-based workflows.
  • Experience implementing test data management, masking, and obfuscation solutions.
  • Hands-on experience delivering performance and compatibility testing within cloud-hosted environments.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and mentoring skills with the ability to uplift teams and influence engineering practices.
  • A pragmatic mindset with the ability to balance strategic architecture decisions with hands-on delivery.
