Technical Officer
Our client:
Our client is a large, government-backed organisation delivering a major Defence modernisation program. They are focused on building secure, integrated ICT systems that support critical operations.
The role:
This is a hands-on Technical Support role working across mission-critical ICT systems in a highly secure environment. You’ll be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and improving complex infrastructure, ensuring systems remain operational in both standard and constrained conditions.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide advanced support for mission-critical IT systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
- Maintain and upgrade systems in line with security protocols
- Support messaging infrastructure across distributed environments
- Manage user access and system configurations
- Develop SOPs, build guides and technical documentation
- Implement contingency solutions in constrained (DDIL) environments
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors
- Support deployments, hardware builds and training activities
- Participate in on-call rotation for high priority incidents
Skills and experience:
- Strong experience with Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory and Skype
- Experience with Citrix, virtualisation and infrastructure support
- Ability to troubleshoot complex enterprise environments
- Experience in secure or highly regulated environments
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience with VoIP, XMPP or legacy systems (e.g. Lotus Domino) beneficial
- Exposure to Cisco, Fortinet or similar networking tools advantageous
Benefits and additional information:
- Up to $850 per day incl. super
- Contract to 30 June + 12-month extension
