Salary: $180,000 – $200,000 + super

The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Technical Lead who combines hands-on software engineering expertise with sharp product thinking. You’ll guide a talented team, build scalable systems, and help drive the next evolution of their real-time monitoring and analytics platform.
In this role, you will:
Lead and mentor a small, senior engineering squad (currently two developers).
Take ownership of end-to-end technical delivery across TypeScript, Node.js, Python, and AWS.
Design and build reliable telemetry and event pipelines, APIs, and scalable backend systems.
Drive modern DevOps practices – CI/CD, IaC, observability, monitoring, and automation.
Collaborate closely with the CTPO, product, and customer teams to translate user needs into tangible outcomes.
Balance coding (around 50-75%) with leadership, planning, and coaching responsibilities.
What You’ll Bring
Strong hands-on background in TypeScript/Node.js and cloud-based platforms (AWS preferred).
Proven ability to build data and event-driven systems that are robust, efficient, and secure.
A product mindset – you connect technical design to user experience and business impact.
Clear, concise communication style and a bias toward action.
Experience leading high-performing teams in agile, fast-paced environments.
Bonus: Familiarity with MQTT or IoT-style messaging frameworks.
