Technical Business Analyst – HCM / Enterprise Systems
12-month contract + 12-month extension | $900-$1100 per day (inc. super)
Melbourne | Hybrid (1-2 days in office)

We’re partnering with a large federal government agency to secure a Senior Technical Business Analyst (EL1 equivalent) for a large-scale digital and business systems transformation program.

This role sits within a complex, enterprise environment delivering critical systems that support business operations. You’ll play a key role in shaping and delivering solutions across HCM and internal business systems, with a strong focus on cloud technologies and integration.

The Role
As a Technical BA, you will work closely with business, program and technical stakeholders to drive requirements and support delivery across a diverse portfolio of initiatives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Discovering, defining and managing business and technical requirements end-to-end
  • Translating complex technical concepts into clear, business-friendly outputs
  • Facilitating workshops, process modelling, and data analysis activities
  • Supporting backlog creation, refinement and delivery within an Agile / SAFe environment
  • Contributing to solution design, documentation and system integration activities
  • Working across enterprise platforms, HCM systems and cloud-based services
  • Collaborating with delivery teams, vendors and stakeholders to drive outcomes
  • Identifying improvement opportunities and contributing to continuous uplift initiatives

About You

  • 5+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst in complex transformation environments
  • Strong experience working across HCM / ERP / internal enterprise systems (e.g. recruitment, learning, performance systems) – eg. SAP Successfactors, Workday, Employee Central, Salesforce Agentforce etc
  • Proven ability to engage with technical SMEs and translate requirements into actionable outcomes
  • Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure)
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and facilitation skills
  • Experience working across Agile delivery environments (SAFe highly regarded)
  • Ability to work autonomously, manage competing priorities and deliver in fast-paced environments
  • Experience working across integrated enterprise platforms and system transformations
  • Exposure to both Agile and Waterfall delivery models
  • Government or large-scale program experience

  • Australian Citizenship is mandatory to pass onboarding checks
  • Ability to obtain Baseline Security Clearance required
