About the role:
Your main duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to.
- Supervising and coordinating the day-to-day activities of the Talent Attraction and Acquisition
- Providing clear direction, managing workload allocation, and maintaining team momentum against program KPIs. You will serve as the first point of escalation for team members and report directly to the Program Manager.
- Drawing on your recruitment expertise, you will develop and refine outreach scripts, candidate engagement frameworks, and cohort mapping approaches to maximise the quality and volume of candidate interactions. You will ensure resources are fit for purpose and regularly updated to reflect program learning’s.
- You will maintain a program-level view of the candidate pipeline, tracking engagement activity, conversion rates, and cohort representation. You will produce regular reports for the Program Manager and contribute to milestone reporting obligations.
- You will conduct outbound engagement (including face-to-face, phone and digital outreach) with prospective candidates from targeted cohorts including ADF personnel, skilled trade and industry professionals, and parents returning to the workforce, identifying individuals suitable for TAFE teaching roles across a range of industries including but not limited to construction, engineering, health, hospitality, and community services. You will also engage with registered training organisations to support talent identification and candidate matching.
- You will contribute to the program’s governance activities, including weekly team check-ins, milestone reviews, and debrief sessions.
- You will support planning and delivery of face-to-face outreach activities, including regional travel where required, working with the Program Manager on scheduling.

Skills and experience required:
- Relevant experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, business development or a related field, including demonstrated experience leading or coordinating a team, is required. Familiarity with the vocational education and training (VET) sector, or with one or more of the target candidate cohorts (ADF, skilled trades/professionals, returnees to the workforce), is highly regarded but not essential.
- Citizenship/visa: to be appointed to a position, you must be an Australian citizen, have permanent residency status or a visa permitting you to work in Australia
- Drivers’ license: it is a mandatory requirement for the occupant of this position to hold an unrestricted driver’s licence. Officers may be required to drive government vehicles as a part of their day-to-day work.
- Travel away from centre: travel within your designated region and to other regional locations for stakeholder engagement will be required in this role. This includes overnight stays.
