Team Lead-Critical Networks
We are seeking an experienced Network Engineering Team Lead to provide technical leadership and operational oversight across a mission critical, secure enterprise network environment. This role will lead a team of network engineers responsible for the design, support, and optimisation of complex routing, switching, firewall, and SD-WAN infrastructure.
The successful candidate will combine strong hands-on technical capability with proven leadership experience to ensure network performance, security, and availability across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of network engineers, providing technical escalation support
- Oversee enterprise routing, switching, WAN, SD-WAN, VPN, and firewall environments
- Ensure high availability, resilience, and adherence to federal security standards
- Lead network delivery across upgrades, migrations, and transformation initiatives
- Drive best practice, documentation, and change management processes
- Act as the primary network SME, engaging stakeholders, vendors, and carriers
- Monitor network performance and proactively address capacity and optimisation needs
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience- Mandatory
- Must be an Australian Citizen
- Excellent understanding of Enterprise Network Operations
- Confident managing large teams of Network and Network Security Engineers
- Good understanding of core Networking – Cisco certifications highly regarded
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and decision-making skills
