About the role:
Your main duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to.
- Conduct high-volume outbound and inbound candidate engagement activities, including face-to face, phone and digital outreach, to identify and connect with prospective TAFE teachers from targeted cohorts.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with candidates across priority industries – including but not limited to construction and trades, health and community services, hospitality and tourism, and information and communications technology – guiding them through the early stages of the recruitment journey.
- Engage proactively with specific candidate cohorts, including Australian Defence Force (ADF) veterans transitioning to civilian careers, skilled industry professionals considering a career change, and parents returning to the workforce.
- Liaise with registered training organisations to support talent identification and candidate matching.
- Deliver consistent, accurate and compelling information about VET teaching pathways, accreditation processes and available support to prospective candidates.
- Maintain accurate and up-to date candidate records and pipeline data, contributing to weekly reporting on outreach activity, conversion rates and cohort engagement.
- Implement candidate engagement scripts, outreach frameworks and sourcing strategies in accordance with established guidelines and contribute to their ongoing improvement.
- Participate in regular team check-ins, working collaboratively within a small team to achieve campaign objectives.

Skills and experience required:
- Relevant experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, business development or a related field is required. Familiarity with the vocational education and training (VET) sector, or with one or more of the target candidate cohorts (ADF, skilled trades/professionals, returnees to the workforce), is highly regarded but not essential.
- Citizenship/visa: to be appointed to a position, you must be an Australian citizen, have permanent residency status or a visa permitting you to work in Australia
- Drivers’ license: it is a mandatory requirement for the occupant of this position to hold an unrestricted driver’s licence. Officers may be required to drive government vehicles as a part of their day-to-day work.
- Travel away from centre: travel within your designated region and to other regional locations for stakeholder engagement will be required in this role. This includes overnight stays.
