The Role

This is a key leadership opportunity for an experienced Systems Engineering professional to contribute to a large-scale, complex program. You will play a critical role in shaping and integrating advanced systems within a highly collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment. This position offers the chance to work on technically challenging projects that directly support national capability outcomes.

Your duties will include:

  • Leading systems engineering activities across requirements, integration, and verification
  • Coordinating the development and management of system requirements and engineering artefacts
  • Supporting system safety activities, including safety case development and reporting
  • Overseeing verification and validation processes in collaboration with industry partners
  • Identifying, assessing, and managing engineering risks across the program
  • Leading and mentoring a small team of engineers while engaging with key stakeholders

Skills and Experience we are looking for:

  • Minimum 10+ years’ experience in systems engineering within complex ICT environments
  • Proven experience in systems architecture and integration across multi-system environments
  • Demonstrated experience developing engineering artefacts such as specifications, plans, and reports
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and technical writing skills
  • Tertiary qualifications in engineering or a related technical discipline
