Requirements

  • Validate and assess existing Linux server inventories and environments

  • Plan, coordinate and execute RHEL upgrade strategies across server estates

  • Identify risks, dependencies and remediation activities related to upgrades

  • Perform hands-on Linux administration tasks during upgrade execution

  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, runbooks and upgrade procedures

  • Work closely with infrastructure, security and application teams to ensure smooth delivery

  • Strong hands-on experience with RHEL / Linux environments

  • Solid understanding of Linux server administration, including:

    • File systems and file manipulation

    • User and permission management

    • Process and service management

    • Shell scripting (Bash or similar)

  • Experience supporting or delivering Linux upgrade or migration projects
