Systems Administrator

The Role:
The Government Agency is seeking a Systems Administrator to provide technical support, development, and management of computer systems to ensure high levels of availability and security of the supported business applications.
The Responsibilities:
- Administer and monitor the devices, including PCs, laptops, and tablets and their applications.
- Provide up to 3rd level service requests and incident and problem management services in accordance with agreed service levels.
- Undertake project coordination activities for technology upgrades and updates.
- Assist with maintenance and enhancement of security operations in alignment with directives.
- Document relevant solutions and outcomes including progress reports.
Experience & Prerequisites:
- Minimum 6 years of experience as a Systems Administrator with experience of Microsoft 365, Azure, and cloud services.
- Extensive knowledge of managing Windows server and desktop/laptop environments including VMWare, business application hosting and file/content management; and significant experience managing Windows PC’s, laptops, including the deployment of Windows SOEs and patches.
- Extensive knowledge of infrastructure applications for delivering management and authentication services, such as DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, DFS, NTFS and storage systems.
- Knowledge of ITIL and demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills to assess and resolve complex technical issues and initiate ongoing improvements.
- Demonstrated self-management and communication skills to work effectively independently or in a team under competing priorities and tight timelines.
