Our Client

Our Federal Government client is Australia’s principle revenue collection agency, primarily responsible for administering the federal taxation system and superannuation legislation, as well as managing and delivering a range of Australian government payment and loan schemes.

The Role

This is an opportunity to join a high-performing environment delivering complex, large-scale data and integration solutions. As a Systems Analyst, you will play a key role in shaping system design across strategic initiatives, translating business needs into clear, workable technical solutions and supporting delivery across integrated, cloud-based platforms.

Your duties will include:

  • Translating business requirements into clear system designs across complex, integrated environments
  • Analysing and documenting API-based integrations, including OAS, JSON/XML structures, validation rules and error handling
  • Producing key design artefacts such as functional specifications, process flows, data mappings and interface definitions
  • Supporting solution discovery activities, including current state analysis and impact assessments
  • Reviewing code, configuration and logic to assist with issue resolution and design clarification
  • Collaborating with delivery teams to support backlog readiness, refine acceptance criteria, and identify risks and dependencies

Skills and Experience we are looking for:

  • Proven experience as a Systems Analyst within complex enterprise environments
  • Strong hands-on experience with API integrations and OpenAPI Specifications
  • Experience working within AWS or cloud-based solution environments
  • Ability to interpret source code or configuration to support analysis and problem solving
  • Demonstrated experience producing high-quality system design and analysis artefacts
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to work across technical and business teams
