System Accountant
We are seeking an experienced Systems Accountant to join a large, complex organisation supporting enterprise finance systems and business-critical applications.
In this role, you will provide functional support for finance applications, ensuring systems are operating efficiently, accurately, and in line with business, compliance, and audit requirements. You will act as a subject matter expert for key finance applications, working closely with finance, IT, and business stakeholders to resolve issues, optimise system performance, maintain configurations, and support ongoing enhancements and projects.
- A focus on ability to investigate errors and do system setups.
- Contract 6 months initial with extension potential
- Flexibility of 2 to 3 days WFH once established into position
- Location: Nedlands/Crawley
Key Responsibilities

Provide functional support for finance applications and respond to complex user enquiries.

Maintain financial application configurations, including chart of accounts, workflows, business units, interfaces, and user access.

Monitor and reconcile system interfaces, supporting daily, month-end, and year-end finance processing.

Investigate and resolve application issues, working with internal teams and external vendors where required.

Identify opportunities to improve finance processes, data integrity, and system efficiency.

Develop and maintain user guides, process documentation, and operational procedures.

Participate in finance systems projects, including configuration, testing, implementation, and post-go-live support.

Collaborate with finance and technical teams to ensure solutions meet business requirements and governance standards.
About You
-
Relevant qualification in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.

Demonstrated experience supporting enterprise finance systems within a complex organisation.

Strong understanding of General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Purchasing, and financial processes.

Experience supporting or administering large ERP systems such as PeopleSoft, Oracle, SAP, or similar.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a customer-focused approach.

Ability to manage competing priorities and work both independently and collaboratively.

Experience with systems such as Hyperion, Concur, or Alesco will be highly regarded.
