The Role: The Supply Chain Functional Specialist is responsible for providing guidance and expertise to the organisation related to design, implementation and management of specific business processes and technology applications.

The Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the appointed SME, representing functional and departmental needs.
  • Translation of business requirements into clear functional specifications and solution designs.
  • Support the development of RFP documentation and assist with vendor and solution evaluation.
  • Act as a primary SME contact for expert advice, communication updates and enquiries. Provide regular updates on testing progress, defects, risks, and project impacts.
  • Create and maintain functional documentation such as process flows, test cases, user manuals, procedures, work instructions etc.
  • Lead system improvement initiatives, validations, implementations, and ongoing maintenance of organisational technology applications / systems that improve and optimise operational processes, customer experience, user experience, and business outcomes.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience as a Functional Analyst providing insight and end to end solutions within Supply Chain.
  • Advanced working knowledge of Tier 1 or Tier 2 ERP solutions with strong experience of ERP architectures, modules, and best practice approaches for ERP selection, implementation, and integration.
  • Ability to interpret data and convert insights into informed, actionable recommendations.
  • Ability to work independently and with management, and staff at all levels, to be seen as a trusted advisor and partner to influence outcomes to achieve organisational outcomes and solve specialist problems.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) including the ability to adapt communications to identified need and/or purpose, build relationships and gain cooperation with stakeholders.
