The Strategic Design Lead will lead a short-term strategic design engagement to develop a high-level analysis and recommended future state ecosystem for Employment Screening within the NT. The role will engage key stakeholders to ensure alignment across business, legislative and technical domains.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead a short-term piece of strategic design work to deliver the high-level analysis, design, options analysis and recommendation for the future state eco-system for Employment Screening for NT to inform funding and do-ability considerations.
  • Produce an Executive level shaping and options paper for the future state eco-system for Employment Screening.
  • Consider delivery framework and delivery options to deliver on the high-level design.
  • High level cost and do-ability view against options identified for Executive decision making.
  • Working with key stakeholders to under possible future states:
  • SAFE NT Business on future experience, requirements and legislative reform considerations
  • Technology teams in particular architecture to align both business and technical design
  • Vendors where appropriate on options to deliver a future state eco-system
  • Other agencies, jurisdictions and Commonwealth bodies where appropriate.
  • Support planning

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Leading large complex shaping and option analysis for future based tech decisions, do ability and costing.

  • Experience in large complex technology transformations.
  • Experience in building tech roadmaps for execution.
  • Experience in producing options and decisions paper for significant funding allocation and Executive decisioning.
  • Experience is ensuring multiple dimensions are covered in the analysis such as capability and functional fit, integrations, data models, cost, security, risk and compliance, scalability, time to value, client, employer and staff experience, delivery models.
  • Experience working with technical architects and vendors and the deliverables they produce.
  • Strategic analysis and options experience.
  • Stakeholder management skills.
