The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced communications professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys producing high-quality written content across a range of audiences.

Your duties will include:

  • Prepare high-quality briefs, ministerial submissions and representations for senior stakeholders.
  • Draft media releases, talking points, responses to media enquiries and other communication materials.
  • Develop and deliver communication products for internal and external audiences.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure messaging is accurate, consistent and aligned with organisational priorities.
  • Manage multiple priorities while delivering high-quality communications within tight timeframes.
  • Provide strategic communications advice, identifying key messages and reputational considerations.

Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrated experience preparing government briefs, media releases and talking points.
  • Strong experience writing ministerial submissions and ministerial correspondence.
  • Exceptional written communication, editing and proofreading skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver quality work under tight deadlines.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
