Senior Project Manager
Location: Fortitude Valley, Brisbane
Contract: 15 months (Hybrid- 2 days WFH per week)
Rate: $1100 – $1200 per day (inc. super)
About the Role
Talent International is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join a utilities organisation based in Fortitude Valley, leading the planning and delivery of a key infrastructure-focused program.
This role is ideal for a project manager with strong experience in data centre, network infrastructure, and enterprise technology environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute projects to agreed budget, schedule and quality requirements and track and report on the project in accordance with the organisations Project Management Framework.
- Apply project and change management discipline, processes and tools to identify, design and implement a fit for purpose solution for the project
- Rapidly identify and assess key stakeholders, gather technical, functional and business requirements and define objectives and benefits for each project
- Develop a business case for each project that includes the high-level strategy, budget, timeline, technology stack and preferred vendor selection, for presentation to the board.
- Monitor and report on project delivery status including producing documentation as required.
- Manage the procurement of individuals, resources and suppliers required to deliver project objectives
- Manage relationships with vendors and other third parties to ensure that project delivery is maintained in line with agreed tender agreements
Required Experience
- Demonstrate experience with Data Centre Service builds/moves etc including computer, network and storage
- Demonstrated experience working with Operational Technology (OT) environments
- Demonstrated experience driving change with regional or remote customers
- Technical understanding of key infrastructure technologies such as Active Directory, Remote access, Scada etc
- Excellent understanding of the necessary planning and effort required to pilot and test, then seamlessly transition users and data between custom-built systems and commercial off-the-shelf systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively in both technical and non-technical terms.
