The Role:

This Government Department is seeking a Spatial Applications Specialist to design, builds and maintains spatial and non-spatial data integration processes to support data ingestion, storage & management.

The Responsibilities:

• Develop and enhance existing FME pipelines into the Data Warehouse.
• Undertake analysis to develop and/or enhance existing data model to ensure efficient ingestion, processing, and storage of the data, and to ensure the implemented system’s future maintenance.
• Document internal processes and collaborate with the Data Engineering team to ensure maintenance of the respective environments.
• Clearly communicate with stakeholders to report project progress.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Minimum 7 years’ experience as a Spatial Applications Specialist or a GIS Specialist/Developer.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in spatial and non-spatial data management and analysis.
• Proficiency in FME, Python and SQL.
• Highly experienced in dealing with diverse methods and tools of data ingestion.
• Deep understanding of various database technologies and data warehousing solutions specifically MS SQL.
