About the Role:

As the Sourcing Specialist, you’ll play a pivotal role in enhancing value through the optimisation of safety, service, quality, and compliance outcomes while mitigating risks and reducing costs across our portfolio of contracts. Your responsibilities will encompass the entire contract lifecycle, from creation to award, adhering to established protocols [SUPP 4.3 Manage sourcing and contract support]. Your duties will extend to executing the sourcing strategy and crafting commercially viable agreements to extract maximum value from our contracts. The core focus lies in providing sustainable solutions aligned with our business objectives.

About You:

We are looking for a candidate who brings a wealth of experience and qualities including:

  • Proven expertise in devising and implementing sourcing strategies aimed at generating value, alongside proficiency in tender management and procurement.
  • Strong grasp of risk and compliance management principles, particularly in the context of procurement.
  • Customer-centric approach with a track record of delivering tangible results.
  • Exceptional influencing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to evaluate and analyse financial and pricing models effectively.
  • Proficiency in negotiation tactics.
  • Comprehensive understanding and experience in Contract Law, Construction Law, Australian Consumer Law, and associated legislation and regulations.
  • Capacity to prioritise tasks effectively and self-assess performance critically.
  • Strong conceptual and analytical abilities.
  • Ideally, a degree qualification in Procurement, Contract, Business, Finance, or a related discipline, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
