The Role: The Solutions Architect will be responsible for developing and evolving the Technology Strategy and Roadmaps for the Intermediated Insurance business in both Australia and New Zealand in alignment to the relevant divisional Strategies and support portfolio alignment to strategy.

The Responsibilities:

  • Close collaboration with the Domain Architects in the team on their respective Strategy and roadmap.
  • These strategies and roadmaps are aligned to achieving the divisional strategies for Trans-Tasman Intermediated Insurance.
  • Develop key strategies and support the incubation of high priority strategy execution.
  • Support strategic planning process collaborating with portfolio and planning team with specific focus on strategic narrative, key outcomes and initiative alignment.
  • Support the evangelisation of the Intermediated Technology Strategy and communicate changes.
  • Support delivery of E2E solutions and estimates for strategic programs and other agreed initiatives.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • 7+ years experience as a Solutions Architect focused in developing IT strategies and roadmaps that deliver transformational change within the Insurance Sector.
  • 3+ years management / technology consulting experience in a tier 1 or 2 consulting company at a consultant / senior consultant level.
  • Financial Services experience in particular insurance preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of technology trends across IT and digital and how they can be applied to Insurance companies to address real world problems and opportunities.
  • Experience with program management and technology delivery.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in diverse teams and drive cultural change.
