Position overview:
The Solution Architect is accountable for designing, delivering, and enhancing solutions across Programs of Work, spanning both functional and technical domains. These solutions range from simple integrations to complex, enterprise-grade systems. The role may also be required to undertake Technical Delivery Manager responsibilities ensuring alignment with architectural standards and successful delivery outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting architecture reviews and providing recommendations for new solutions, enhancements, and associated integration processes to ensure alignment with enterprise standards and business requirements.
  • Assessing existing systems and solutions to identify opportunities for reducing technical debt, including recommending transition strategies across private and public cloud platforms, systems, and modules.
  • Evaluating and providing recommendations for the migration of solutions to cloud-based architectures, ensuring scalability, security, and long-term sustainability.
  • Contributing to the definition of future technology directions by identifying emerging trends, opportunities, and best practices within the integration and digital solutions landscape.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience with architectural and service management frameworks such as TOGAF, ITIL, and contemporary development frameworks, including associated release and change control practices and operational transformation.
  • Strong knowledge of emerging trends in solution architecture and integration across cloud, hybrid, and on-premise environments, including cloud-native, event-driven, and data platform architectures (e.g. Azure Integration Services, microservices using .NET, and analytics platforms such as Microsoft Fabric). Strong hands-on expertise in Microsoft .NET full-stack technologies (e.g. ASP.NET, Web API, WCF, SQL Server), with the ability to translate these into practical implementation recommendations.
  • Proven track record in delivering Business Information Systems and key architectural components such as Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), microservices, and integration solutions (e.g. Azure API Management, Logic Apps, Service Bus), as well as data solutions (e.g. Fabric data pipelines, analytics, and relational databases), across the full Software Development Life Cycle, including architecture, design, development, and delivery within Microsoft full-stack .NET and cloud-native environments.
