Solutions Architect - Application Separation Program

Our client is on the lookout for an experienced Solution Architect to play a key role in a major business and technology demerger program. This position will be responsible for designing and delivering the separation of complex application, data, and technology environments while ensuring business continuity and minimal operational disruption. This is an exciting opportunity to work across a broad enterprise landscape, collaborating with business and technology stakeholders to define target-state architectures, separation strategies, and transition plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead solution architecture activities across a large-scale applications and systems demerger
- Assess current-state technology landscapes and identify separation requirements
- Define target-state architectures for applications, integrations, infrastructure, and data
- Develop transition roadmaps and migration strategies to enable a successful separation
- Work across business, technology, security, and vendor teams to deliver outcomes
- Identify and manage architecture risks, dependencies, and technical constraints
- Support technology due diligence, application rationalisation, and platform selection activities
- Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards, security requirements, and governance frameworks
- Provide architectural guidance throughout planning, migration, testing, and post-separation activities
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Solution Architect within large transformation programs
- Demonstrated experience delivering application and system demerger, separation, carve-out, divestment, merger, or acquisition programs
- Broader Infrastructure, data migration, security architecture is highly regarded
- Experience developing architecture artefacts, solution designs, and migration roadmaps
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-focused outcome
