Our Client

Our Federal Government client is Australia’s principle revenue collection agency, primarily responsible for administering the federal taxation system and superannuation legislation, as well as managing and delivering a range of Australian government payment and loan schemes.

The Role

Join a high-impact federal government program uplifting software delivery capability by designing an integrated, automated change management solution. In this role you’ll sit at the intersection of DevOps, IT Service Management and governance, shaping how change is delivered safely and efficiently at scale.

Your duties will include:

  • Leading the end-to-end solution design for an integrated ServiceNow and Azure DevOps change automation capability
  • Designing and implementing ServiceNow workflows and business logic to support ITIL Normal changes triggered via Azure DevOps pipelines
  • Defining risk-based approval logic, automated scheduling and deployment triggers in collaboration with ITSM stakeholders
  • Ensuring change outcomes are accurately reflected in ServiceNow, including automated closure and exceptions for manual review
  • Customising Azure DevOps test plans and pipelines to support risk-based decision logic (e.g. test case criticality and pass rates)
  • Navigating complex stakeholder environments, advocating for automation and risk-based approaches, and contributing to updated policy and procedure documentation

Skills and Experience we are looking for:

  • Proven experience leading solution design across ServiceNow and Azure DevOps (or similar DevOps platforms)
  • Hands-on experience with ServiceNow DevOps Change Velocity and its integration with Azure DevOps
  • Strong understanding of ITIL change management processes and how to automate them in enterprise environments
  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing ServiceNow workflows, business rules and integrations
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps pipelines and test plans, including customisation to support quality and risk-based decision making
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence outcomes in change-averse environments and produce clear, high-quality design documentation
