Our client is a federal government organisation with offices throughout Australia. Due to growth, they are seeking an EL2 Solution Architect to join their team in any capital city in Australia!

  • 12-month initial contract plus 12-month extension
  • Hybrid with 3 days per week onsite
  • Federal government role – Australian citizenship required

The role:

The EL2 Solution Architect is accountable under broad direction to undertake very complex work that delivers quality outcomes across the functions of the client.
The position will exercise a considerable degree of independence to engage in very complex problem solving and issues management functions. The position requires exercising sound decision-making and judgement to produce high level policy advice and operational support.
The EL2 Solution Architect is required to coordinate and assume responsibility to undertake detailed or sensitive projects that may include performing varied activities involving many different and unrelated processes or methods that may impact on the strategic or operational outcomes that support the clients’ objectives.
This a key role across the agency providing technical leadership for the ongoing enhancement of the core technology platforms that support the clients’ systems. Working with the business this role will be responsible for solution architecture across the Crack Down on Fraud (CDoF) domain. The EL2 Solution Architect will ensure all solutions within their domain are both technically robust, secure, accessible, and provide the best fit for the business, aligning to both the business and technology strategies and roadmaps.

Key duties and responsibilities

  • Delivering high quality solution architectures that are fit for business purpose and align solutions with Agency goals and objectives.
  • Helping to develop and ensure compliance with reference models, principles, policies, standards and strategic ICT roadmap.
  • Engaging with the business and project team to understand the tactical & strategic objectives and requirements.
  • Engaging with the enterprise architects, solution leads, business representatives, development team and other relevant stakeholders to ensure solution alignment across domains.
  • Providing technical oversight and facilitating complex issues resolution arising during project delivery.
  • Ownership and accountability for leading and producing the delivery of coherent technical solutions and technical documentation across the domain.

To apply you will need the following skills and experience:
Essential criteria

  • Minimum 10 years of Architecture experience with broad technical knowledge, including demonstratable experience leading the design of complex enterprise class platforms.
  • Extended experience in integrating Salesforce.
  • Experience leading and driving the architectural design for Enterprise class CRM and/or Large-scale integration projects, with Salesforce experience preferred.
  • Excellent listening, communication and stakeholder management skills must be able to translate business capability into technical requirements.
  • Experience balancing project and program, project and organisational goals, as well as tactical and strategic drivers.
  • Act as the business’ conduit into the ICT function for design and requirements resolution.

Desirable criteria

  • Bachelor of Science/Business in Information Technology or equivalent tertiary qualification.
  • Industry experience across health or insurance sectors, or other related industries with large customer bases and complex supply chain interactions.
  • TOGAF certified or equivalent IT architectural qualification; Azure or AWS cloud experience
  • Previous experience as an Enterprise Architect, Programme Lead Architect as well as experience working in both Agile and Structured delivery environments. Experience in investigations, law enforcement or digital forensic contexts.
