Our client is an Australian organisation currently undertaking a significant transformation of its enterprise technology landscape. As part of this program, they require an experienced Solution Architect with extensive ERP and business systems expertise across multiple products in ERP/HCM/finance/payroll systems etc. You will lead an uplift of the current technology landscape with an immediate focus on Workday, while reviewing and redefining the longer term future state of core enterprise systems and the wider enterprise application environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end solution architecture across enterprise applications and platforms
  • Provide architecture leadership across the organisation’s Workday environment
  • Design current-state and future-state architectures, solution blueprints and integration designs
  • Assess the existing application landscape and identify opportunities for rationalisation, consolidation and simplification
  • Develop target-state architecture and contribute to the broader technology roadmap
  • Evaluate build, buy, configure and integrate options and recommend appropriate technology solutions
  • Design solutions across application, integration, data and infrastructure domains
  • Work closely with Finance, HR, Procurement, Payroll and technology stakeholders
  • Partner with delivery teams, vendors and implementation partners from solution design through to implementation
  • Present architecture options, recommendations and trade-offs to senior technical and business stakeholders
  • Ensure solutions align with architecture, security, privacy and governance requirements
  • Help reduce technical debt and establish reusable architecture patterns and standards
  • The broader mandate includes application rationalisation and platform consolidation, with the Architect expected to help define a simpler target-state environment and roadmap

To apply for this role, you will need the following:

  • Solid experience as a Solution Architect, and ideally certifications with TOGAF or similar
  • Strong experience with ERP and application architecture, ideally with broad experience across multiple ERP/HCM/Finance systems including Workday
  • Experience designing integrations, APIs and enterprise integration patterns
  • Experience developing current-state, target-state and solution architectures
  • Ability to review ERP and application architecture, define the future landscape, and lead a future RFP process
  • Experience with application rationalisation, platform consolidation or technology simplification is highly regarded
  • Exposure to cloud platforms including Azure, AWS or GCP
  • Knowledge of security-by-design principles and architecture governance
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate technical decisions and trade-offs to senior non-technical stakeholders
