We are looking for an experienced SolarWinds Specialist with a strong infrastructure and network monitoring background to join a Sydney-based client on a 12 month contract. This role will focus on managing, supporting and improving the SolarWinds monitoring environment.

Detailed Job Description

We are seeking an experienced SolarWinds Specialist – Infrastructure & Network Monitoring to join our client on an initial 12 month contract.

You will be responsible for supporting, administering and optimising the SolarWinds platform, providing effective monitoring and visibility across network and infrastructure environments.

This role would suit someone with around 4-5 years of hands-on SolarWinds experience who has a strong understanding of network and infrastructure monitoring.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain and support the SolarWinds monitoring platform
• Configure and manage network and infrastructure monitoring
• Build and maintain alerts, dashboards and reports
• Monitor network devices, servers and infrastructure performance
• Onboard new devices, servers and infrastructure into SolarWinds
• Investigate and troubleshoot monitoring, availability and performance issues
• Review and optimise alerting thresholds to improve monitoring effectiveness
• Identify monitoring gaps and recommend improvements
• Support SolarWinds upgrades, patching and platform maintenance
• Work with Network, Infrastructure and Operations teams to resolve technical issues
• Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures
• Provide SolarWinds technical expertise and best-practice recommendations

Skills & Experience

• 4-5 years of hands-on SolarWinds experience
• Strong experience administering and configuring SolarWinds
• Experience with SolarWinds modules such as NPM, NCM, SAM or similar
• Strong understanding of network and infrastructure monitoring
• Good knowledge of networking concepts, SNMP, WMI and monitoring protocols
• Experience monitoring servers, network devices and infrastructure services
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Experience creating alerts, dashboards and reporting
• Good understanding of Windows Server and general infrastructure environments
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with technical stakeholders

Contract Details

• 12 month contract
• Sydney-based
• Hybrid working arrangement
• 2-3 days onsite per week
